Haven’t gotten a lot of hatemail, but I have had some disconnects. Out of 1448 total matches, I have 19 incomplete games: one due to a power brown out (immediately got back on and sent the other player an apology message… I forget the gamertag though), 3 due to lag issues that black-screened the game. (According to others in the player room, the match continued without the players??? o_o Anyone else heard of that happening?) The rest were ragequits Not too bad a percentage given the overall number of matches, though. The only hatemail I’ve received was from gamertag ‘Havoc NTG’ … or it might have been Havok with a K instead. I don’t remember exactly and the conversation has since vanished from my messages, but the gist of it was he was pissed off at me for zoning his scrub Haku with Rachel. I also beat him 3 times with my ultra lackluster Noel before being kicked from the room and receiving a message saying that the only reason I could beat him was because I played a runaway projectile whore. He continued to argue the same point after I pointed out that my loser Noel had rushed him down too. 
Conversation ended with me telling him that Rachel was a zone-first character, that that was what I was supposed to do vs. Hakumen, and that he could either slash my lobelias, kill my frog, and deal with it or just die. Got a message from him a few days later saying he would destroy me again if I wanted to have a go at it. lol. I was 12-0 vs. him? I didn’t bother to respond.

This match was filled with me doing horrible stuff and actually winning. For one thing round one was me just spamming jabs. I was just honestly bored. Round 2 was me running up and hitting with C then running away. I lost this one on purpose. When he was about to die I just burst and just taunted there. Round 3 I realized how bad he was, so I just took hits till I was about to die. Bursted out of the combo that was going to kill me, then I took about all his health away. He was near death to die I Blood Kained, I sweeped him, He blocked low (surprisingly, I think it happened due to luck) I RCed it, Sweeped again (he was still blocking, I am guessing at this point just slow reaction) and broke his shield. Then I D’ Dash cancel and caught him in Yami ni Kuwarero. As that was going on he quit and gave me that message after quitting.

This isn’t an actual online message, but it’s hilarious and it kinda fits for the topic. I was at the BB tournament for Anime Weekend Atlanta, which had a surprising number of good players, but there was this bad Litchi player who raged when he got eliminated.
He was going against a Taokaka, wasn’t paying attention as the Tao did her projectile attack. It turned out to be a long range one. Tao used Brutal Kitty Fest just before the projectile connected, so the distortion actually comboed into it from full screen distance. Then he died from a single 6A.
He was not happy. He yelled out FUUUUUCK, GOD DAMNIT and stormed out of the room.
Responding to an old post, but come on. Training mode only gets you so far, Only way a person gets better is to keep losing for experience. He was probably trying to level his game up and you’re making fun of him. :tdown:

Like I said before, online is good for getting experience, but really you should be learning combo’s/setups/ect. in training mode then trying to implement what you learned online against a live opponent.
Your not gonna learn combo’s, resets, mixups, oki games, and just general execution from only playing online.
I mean, I wasn’t shitting on the guy because he sucked, I was shitting on him because he was a general bad sport and wasn’t really trying to learn. If he wanted to improve his game he should have plugged in his mike, and maybe not rage-quit on me.
Plus, there were times where I would be owning him so hard in the first few seconds of the match he would just put down his controller and let me take the round

that’s really very true. I recently started to learn Bang, I started to just go into training mode and really focus on one combo and getting the basic ones down. after that I figure that I will move to the mid and then the top. It’s probably the best way to start in training mode. Then after a while you will start to look for openings in other players movements, then you will play the game so much that it’s just instinct when you know what combo to use and when to rapid and when to throw.

I gotta say, that was way too many random supers. Granted you did connect some of them but for the most part, you did get punished on block.
random?, surelly not. a couple i did miss the timing or i did for getaway/closer
and most of ragna attacks can be punished with daifunka on reaction
Super-ing on wake-up was pretty random, your not gonna catch a guy like that, unless you RC and catch the dude off guard, but even then a throw will be pink and any mix-up would be somewhat predictable. There were a few other random ones as well
But, on the same token, your right about punishing HF with Daifunka on reaction, it’s a good punish, and will DEFINITELY make your opponent think twice about using HF as a long range poke.
A bit of advice on your Bang, you might not wanna go for that Four seal combo combo off of 2D or j.D, it’s VERY hard to do online unless your playing someone close to you, and to be honest it’s not that worth since it doesn’t do a crazy amount of damage and FRKZ is good if your really skilled with it, but if your not, it becomes pretty situational.
For you playstyle, I would say do the BnB air combo off 2D, you should have especially done it on Ragna since he’s so big. Web nail off of J.D isn’t awful, but don’t go for the Four seal combo, Bang’s BnB ground combo would suffice, and plus, it leaves you in a better position for 2a/5b Mix-ups on wake-up
Also, no real reason to use Daifunka to get position, Bang has 2 Air dashes, which is more than enough to get him anywhere he needs to on screen
