Prayer with his daughters. Okay it makes for good cinema to narrate another walking around scene but TEACH THEM FARMING. Not going to quote anybody again and not communicate well and even confuse myself about what I wanted to say.
episode should’ve been called “fingers.” Left4Dead boxart style.
Mike Tyson Governor, that is some stretch to say a normal human is doing all this stuff. There you go, the Governor is part zombie over here already, so he belongs with his kid. Biting people’s fingers off.
Those are always fun. Zombie versions of main characters. But Darryl must’ve hated him. Face stabbings, above and beyond. So what, he’s crying. You made your zombie bro cry red from his eyeballs.
I knew that kid wouldn’t last long. But that’s a rifle, go ahead and fire twice, semi auto fire several bullets to possibly hit the Governor behind him. He just got paintballed from the kid’s bloodpack then stood there a bit too instead of ducking.
Also Merle is pretty ninja himself to roll out of a car (still tipsy from the bottle) with that unwieldy long arm saber and the gun. But it wasn’t too effective in the fight. Wasn’t subtle going after the walker throwing him out of the barn thing and jumping on top of him, he already knew it was a suicide mission but he easily dispatched the prison zombies so he could’ve done it without having to reveal his position that badly. Flail that duct tape arm against all those feet to make them think twice about getting so close!
I started the episode halfway thru the first time watching Merle look like he was taking his sweet time to turn off the alarm. Also thought he might’ve left the sword because he didn’t get back in the car with it, one armed man can’t hold everything haha.
2 more black dudes in the preview, including old black dude with sunglasses. Also saw the T-Dog got bit part in that marathon preview hah.
The car looked cooler pulling up to the barns. Big Rims, sound system. No radio so he’s got the tape deck LED faceplate. Playing off a CD or Harddrive with mp3s in there.

I really wanted Merle to stay in the group or atleast die during the actual war. Merle, Daryl, and Michone make such kick ass muscles for the group that i was so looking forward to see these 3 working together when shit hits the fan. Enjoyed the episode allot but i’m that bummed that things didn’t go the way i wished them.
I did find it funny that the governor had enough strength to bite off too fingers from a struggling human being. Super human strength governor!
I also found it pretty funny that Glenn was so easily able to find a ring. A really nice looking one at that. Shit looked really shiny and had a huge rock on it. Not ONLY that, it’s probably her size too. lol~ Funny thing is that marriage doesn’t mean shit in a post apocalyptic world. If it did, he would’ve made her sign a zombie prenup or something.
Michael Rooker’s answer to him wanting a pay increase.
I’m sick of the Rick “I’m Sorry (this happened to you)” yeah he would do the monologue about staying together, but maybe only louiscipher complained about that being repeated and being overacted. Oh and if he’s not on his game at the very least to snap back into it, he’ll just get steamrolled by the Governor who’s a super horror villain now.
What reason do you guys have to figure Tyreese will help and switch sides. Its not like he’s been in the loop with the Andrea and secretary to the Gov nerd guy. His I’m sorry line is the “We’ll do what we have to do (don’t want any trouble).” Zombie spooked, when usually black guys can last longer in zombie movies than any other horror. But then there’s the black guy eventual death but death to help save somebody else for just a few minutes trope. Talking Dead bumpers said Merle died saving the group. Not really. Just took out 8 guys? Mad Guv on the preview said that much. 4 he shot, maybe 2 more by zombies, another Governor lie to get more support!
That guy sucks anyway, its like 4 years after the outbreak and he didn’t even have any weapons or way to defend himself street smarts. Or foodstains / soot from campfires, on his brand new camping cooking equipment. Natural selection.
Of course! He had quite a collection to choose from considering that he was at the Fence Where All The Female Zombies Are
Anyone else thinking that the governor arc isn’t going to end this season?

In the comics, who is supposed to be the villain after the gov?

Whoever answers that better put it in a spoiler.

Negan is Gov 2.0 but probably not until like season 7 or 8
The Hunters might be next but I’m not sure how they’d drag that out.
Probably just all of them on the road heading north for season 4
I wonder what happens if the show overlaps the comics.
I heard that after the governor arc, nuclear war happens, leaving the world in an even worst state. Now you have most of civilization leveled and everyone now has to deal with bandits. Zombie bandits. Luckily, Rick has learned the art of Hokuto Shinken by then and protects the group with his huge muscles that always tear his shirts apart. Somehow he gets a new one every chapter.

Hokuto: Hyakkuretsu Ken.
You were already dead.

Where did gov summon this strength and energy from? Tracking and catching andrea, then handling merle
Also lol at dickbag dad’s son getting shot and eaten by merle
Also lol at darryl smashing merle’s face in
Jeez merle decayed real quick

Why did Merle decay so quick anyways? I see I wasn’t the only one who noticed that.
Other than that, I kinda felt sad (in a good way) by the ending. Who knew Merle would end up being somewhat likeable? Superb episode
knew it was gonna happen. sucks to see it happen though. had to lol @ him taking ricks phone though.
Beth for season 4!!!
Holy fucking hell, youtube links in sigs are really goddamn annoying… I don’t think he can remove it though, so I requested that an admin do so.
ANYWHO, on topic, Merle went out like a friggin BOSS.
I laughed a few times with the whole car thing.
- I found it hilarious that a ratty car had a car alarm in it, at least until I noticed the rims.
- When Merle parked it in the road. Notice the purple highlights? Was that just a trick of the light, or was this a pimp wagon?
- Anyone else find it a little weird that the car had a Motorhead CD in it? I choose to believe that Merle found it at the same place he found the liquor.
I hope Beth dies so everybody shuts up with that!
I have to admit. I skipped through a lot of the talking. Mostly because I knew Rick wasn’t going to give up Michonne but I liked what happened with her and Merle and how that developed. Bonus points for Motorhead being blasted. Double bonus points for an homage to the plaid shirt zombie from the original Dawn of the Dead:

I liked how it ended and looking forward to the war. I will probably re-watch this again to get through all the dialog.
Spoiler for whiny bitches.
[details=Spoiler]
There is no villain for almost 50 issues. Around issue 100 we get a new villian called Negan who’s basically Governor 1.5 (more rapey edition). [/details]
