Personally, I feel bad for Daryl more than anything. Though Merle did sacrifice himself, I don’t feel it was enough redemption for the shit he’s done.

Yeah, no doubt. The journey isn’t about what’ s going to happen, but how it’s going to happen. This episode did it well.

Though the whole marriage nonsense was perhaps the worst part of the episode.

That was a completely solid episode.

That’s not even giving it enough credit, though. Fantastic episode. Dialogue blew me away.

The Glenn bits were more…they took a backseat to the rest of it. The Brothers story concluded, and it was bittersweet, and we all kinda loved it.

And seriously, even ONE person watching Merle’s 3 would’ve been able to salvage that beautiful plan.

It’s NECESSARY, though. Rick knows that there’s no room for Gung-Ho Crazypants anymore. They needed a fearless leader to set them up in a moderately safe place, now they need someone who ISN’T Delusional Rambo to help keep them together.

Usually if they’re ANNOUNCED ahead of time they’re safe.

It’s when they’re unannounced (like Merle/Michael Rooker) they’re dead. But of course by the time we know they’re on TD, we already saw their death.
