Jimmy was an idiot for staying there but Rick being the leader who nobody makes a move for unless he says something should have realized staying there, climbing down the RV and then running wasn’t as good as jumping on and yelling drive. Thats what I initially thought he was going to do

The only shotguns that can hold 10+ rounds are the tactical variety. Shane’s shotgun, for example the Mossberg 590 can hold 8 rounds plus one in the chamber. it can hold this many shells only because it is longer than your average tactical pump action and it has a magazine extender (the tube under the barrel).
Shotguns that hold more than 10 rounds usually employ a drop magazine or barrel system and are usually semi auto. Then there’s the crazy looking KSG that holds 14 rounds.
ANYway, Hershel looked like he had a standard non tactical 18" shotgun (possibly an 870 Express) with no mag extender so the most he can hold in that particular gun is 4+1
