Boy, you guys really have no sympathy for Carl. Then I remembered that most of you guys probably wouldn’t go easy on a kid picking up a fighter at Gamestop either…
carl
[details=Spoiler]When that lil boy didn’t have the courage to kill the walker he should’ve told someone at the farm about it, but as I know so well from experience that things can get complicated and especially considering this is a child here the thought processes involved would not be the same as it would for a teenager or a grown man. From what was shown he probably did not want to go tell someone as he felt ashamed of himself or would feel embarrassed to do so. We also must have to look at that it’s not easy deciding to kill for the first time, of course he would be hesitant. I am more interested in why he decided to sneak into the shed with the prisoner. I know part of it had to be curiosity, but there’s more than that. I was so terribly surprised when he walked in on his father about to gun down the prisoner and urged him to do it. The child wanted to see it. He wanted to see it. Also with the concern of the prisoner I don’t understand Rick saving him initially if he was just going to kill him. Of course Shane played into changing his mind, but he should’ve brought up to Rick the point that his guys left him be. This guy had to resent his friends for leaving him to die while praising his rescuers. While being so grateful that they helped him and saved his life he would make sure that he was useful on their team. Now that he went through dropping off near the school, bringing him back and torturing him, and almost killing him, he now has resentment towards you and Shane is right in this instance that he’s more than likely going to turn on them at this point if they let him free. Something else I’m curious about is the cow. Is it a zombie considering it was still moving?
Now this show truly is a remark to excellence. It should make the viewer question himself and the minds of these characters. I would like to see more shows follow in its example. Its writing is unparalleled.[/details]
seems uncalled for…but I get that he was suppose to go out leaving a lasting impression. I don’t know who’s going to be the voice of reason now however.
Seems like dark roads ahead.
not to mention he dropped the gun from daryl’s bike. if that comes back to haunt daryl im done with the show. fucking little shit.
The show would be awesome if Carl got eaten by zombies, followed by Lori getting her stomach ripped open and her uterus eaten before she dies. All right in front of Rick.
inb4 flashback where Carl was in the woods and he actually found Sophia, then she got attacked by a walker and he ran away.
Walkers : 2, Carl : 0
As an aspiring writer myself I was impressed by the writing but as far as SRK goes I guess I’m the minority on that. Also it seems like you missed Dale’s point, the fact that he is a human at all should be enough to value his continued existence. The last episode looks like it’s showing the fucked up sense of morality a lot of you have not that I’m surprised, this is SRK after all.
The zombie barely ate any of the cow most of it’s guts were in plain sight, and as it’s been pointed out here before zombies typically don’t eat too much of their victims.
Couldn’t possibly be due to the fact that we’re losing interest and joking around since the show seems to be going downhill. No siree.
Damn, son. Pop a zoloft.
It would have made sense if the person dale was saying they should save was say a little girl who was the daughter of one of the people in their group.
Or someone who was injured and lost a leg and the almost leg behind but then brought back from the attack, who was in their group.
But it was a random guy who attacked them and both Shane and Rick realized he was up to some shady shit. This is who we are to believe is going to separate the farm?
damn didn’t realize zombies can be ninja too. how the hell do you let a zombie sneak up on you…
No kidding. Plus it’s like, gee I wonder what ate that cow? Oh wait that zombie standing right there.
I am curious since it was originally supposed to be another cast member there, who it was going to be. And if that would have spared Dale in their place, since I doubt they’d have the balls to kill 2 main characters in one scene.
He does, he runs to mommy and buries his face in her bosom.
lol, high horse, get off.

These zombies are either super strong or made like wet cardboard.
Totally agree. If they wanted the audience to feel some kind of moral dilemma too it doesn’t really work when the character who might be killed earns no sympathy with the audience. I think if anything it backfired and just got people amped when Dale died. Instead of appearing as a voice of reason it just made Dale look like some old cook off his rocker.
I actually agree, His whole point was you can’t just kill someone for nothing. Its clear you want to save a little innocence girl, but what about a stupid kid who made a mistake? Should we just execute them. If we start doing that then shane and a few other people should be in the barn awaiting execution as well.
Granted he did shoot at one of them, but RICK choose to save him and then patch him up. And now wants to execute him, a boy at that… The best thing about that ep is how just in case you might have got the ideal that its clearly wrong to kill this child, they let carl into the barn with him and show him trying to manipulate his way out of thing even saying he’ll take care of him and bring him with him to the others.
The show does a great job of showing how twisted people can become and how easy influenced people can become. IMO it does a great job of show the infulence shane has had on the whole crew. There is no good guy on this show, everyone ends up doing some questionable stuff, the closet thing to a good guy is “glenn” and now he has the taint of a woman.
As far as dayle noticing the cow… It was pretty much to late by the time he noticed what it was, Its a bit far fetched that the zombie was pushing so hard against dayle that he was ripping his stomach open but then again he did it to a cow so meh…
Honesty I didn’t think dayle would be the one to just get tagged, his morality is by far the strongest on the show…With that gone its going to be interesting to see if thats something they can replace or if the show is jst going to a much darker place.
ALL YOU HAD DO WAS SHOOT THE DAMN WALKER, CARL.
DAMN.
As a huge fan of the comics I’m honestly surprised by how far they’ve veered off from the source materiel and still managed to make an awesome show. Lori may be annoying as fuck on the show, but she’s even MORE annoying in the comics.
Shitty way to go for Dale, but hell, he could have had it a lot worse…
[details=Spoiler] In the comics, first, he gets bitten, so they chop off his leg. Then he gets bitten AGAIN, gets kidnapped by cannibals and they eat his OTHER leg…
^_-;
lol wow
This ish is on some soap opera status with terrible writing. I need to read the comics instead.
I just find it strange that a decomposing zombie (meaning it’d be lighter than your average person) can’t get pushed off of someone they’re not even pinning down at the shoulders, and the same zombie is tearing at Dale’s stomach. Even if Dale is old, he should’ve been able to easily push off the zombie since it’s center of gravity would’ve been so off. Oh well… can’t bring logic to shit like this. I did think it was kind of silly though.
