I’ve read the comic but I just started watching the show on Netflix. Gotta say I’m impressed. I’m only on episode 5 but I’m off tomorrow so I’ll probably watch the rest of the season.

Bumblefuck pulling the race card? REALLY?? I’m glad Dale pointed out that the white devils he was complaining about saved his dumb ass more than once. I’ll just assume that was the fever talking which occurred after he SOMEHOW tripped and cut open his now infected arm.
I just don’t like this guy and I haven’t even bothered remembering his name because you know he won’t be around much longer. Same for the short haired woman.
Despite his lack of screen time, Glenn got in some funny lines.
Andrea seriously needs to level up and become the bad ass she is in the comics.

She’s an innately selfish and obtuse woman and it’s a shame that characters like her rarely meet their deserved fate. Come to think of it… it’s funny how fast she “moved on” to Shane after believing her husband was dead.

Dale’s face when Bumblefuck was talking about being the weakest was priceless. Daryl is my favorite character until Andrea picks up a rifle and Glenn starts getting his. ust whipped out his brother’s big ass bag of meds and was mad no one said anything about it before. Laurie is kind of a bitch in the comics too, but I think its somewhat understandable. I like how they made Otis a fatass just to make him a serious problem.
Also best cliff hanger ending I’ve seen on TV for a while. Bravo.

The show is using the comic as a bare skeleton. Aside from the new people at the farm there won’t be anyone new aside from maybe a new black guy this whole season.
This was a dumb episode. Anytime they have 50 minutes of no zombies and an 8 minute “HERE ARE A BUNCH OF ZOMBIES”, it makes me sad.
Daryl is easily the best character and he wasn’t in the comic at all. That says a lot about how the show has handled the source material.
I agree with slash the only things that the show has gotten in line from the books are the ambush from season one, carl being shot and Zombies. That ending was still sweet though

You’re talking noise like you’re Buckaroo fuckin’ Banzai with a side of MacGuyver, but the truth is you’ve been nothing but a constant fuckup since I’ve known you.” Dale looked absolutely blown, like somebody listening to a wheelchair-bound 96lb starveling rant about how he could’ve taken down Michael Jai White in a straight-up fight if he’d really tried.
Seriously…somebody needs to compile a clip of all of Bumblefuck’s fuck-ups, then end it with Dale staring at him while he rants. This dude is like The Walking Dead’s answer to that chubby brother from the race-based team season of Survivor (Cook Islands, I think).

They do that. I work with several in their 50’s. They aren’t related, don’t even really know each other, and a couple consider the others to be idiots, so they aren’t imitating each other…I think it’s a generational thing. If they look like they smell crap, those mental gears are turning.
I hope the tv show has the cast finding Wilshire Estates. The comic’s belated reveal on the warning sign on the wall was SO epic. I’d like to see if they can match that with peaceful music turning ominous and actual movement.

Laurie is just one of those people who think screaming and yelling at each other is healthy for a relationship. God forbid that someone would rather have a calm, rational conversation about a trivial problem. Nope, people like her would rather throw a dish against a wall than do that… they call it passion; I call it a one way ticket to a restraining order.
The writers got it right when Laurie hopped on the closest dick when Rick was out of the picture which is what these types inevitably do.
I personally don’t mind if they do introduce some new people down the road as long as they don’t replace the pivotal characters from the books who have yet to be introduced and don’t deviate TOO far from the original story.

Okay I’m going to be generous here… if I were in a similar situation where I was the only minority surrounded by deep south good o’l boy sheriff types and a bigoted redneck, I would be kind of wary too. HOWEVER, if they went out of their way to save me and watch my back then I would start to reconsider my preconceived notions about them.
