This reminds me of when I worked at a video store around 2002. Our store had a deal for older cheap movies and people would just grab whatever off the shelves those days. Anyways, some huge fat lady comes in line and has some movies that would partially qualify for the deal so I point out she could get one more and get them all out for cheaper for longer with the deal, yadda yadda. She just snorts, looks around and grabs one from the spot where returns were supposed to go back up on shelves, which happened to be Titanic. Here’s what happened.
Her: “Is this movie any good?”
Me: “I haven’t seen it myself but it won a lot of awards and is one of if not the most successful movie of all time. Supposed to be a great movie with a heartwrenching story when the boat finally sinks in the end.”
Her: “Whaaaat? The Titanic sinks? What kind of an ending is that?”
True story. Also, she paid for it all in handfuls of loose change and a coin fell from her hand. Not wanting to let it get away with things in her hand, she actually slapped her fatbeast boob on the counter trapping it. Her reactions were godlike and I did my best to not be mortified. Still a 100% true story.

There are people who watch the show and haven’t read the comic, like myself. They don’t want it spoiled for them so, don’t spoil it. How the hell that is such a difficult concept to grasp is well beyond my realm of thought.

Michonne is taking shit a little too far, even compared to her comic counterpart. Yeah it’s obvious that The Gov is a douche, but if you have a problem with the place, leave. I like the Punch Out/ Wrestlemania Zombie Games. Seems a lot more realistic than what was in the comics. Esp. for the entertainment of normal citizens.
Satsui No Hadou Rick is entertaining. The guy who plays Rick is a good actor, I really didn’t give him the credit he deserved. Raw emotion son!

Subconsciously I feel like alot of people have small problems with her because she’s a black woman (those two combined). A strong black woman at that, outside of nit picking sofar there is not reason to dislike her so people make up stuff or fine small things to pick at. Doesn’t mean your a racist or anything like that its just one of those subconscious things.
I have a hard time believe that if it was daryl or rick or anyone else doing the same thing she was people would be as against it. She’s pretty much a female Daryl but cooler.

I would have a problem if any character was doing what she was doing. It’s not her territory and she doesn’t have to stay. If it was Rick who was The Governor and the cast were the citizens, any newcomer would’ve been seen as a threat if they took Michonne’s attitude.
Keep in mind I like Michonne, doesn’t mean I have to agree with her current actions.
Its not and she has asked to leave and been encouraged to stay and its clear she didn’t want to or trust them from the jump.

I thought Shane was in the wrong there as well. The point is, there wasn’t a reason for Michonne to act completely standoffish, even if she was suspicious. Not only is it a dumb thing to do from a pragmatic standpoint, but it prevented her from maybe having the natural access to all those places where she could glean info to prove her suspicions.
You have to bear in mind this is based on the assumption that Michonne isn’t psychic and has no direct proof to act like a total bitch to people who haven’t harmed her. We only know that the Governator is batshit insane because of our 3rd person knowledge of the events that have transpired.
All in all, she made some really foolish plays.
I read the comic and I think anyone who’s really enjoying the show (especially the current season) should too. I also watch the show and even though - as a whole - I think it’s inferior to the original, I like it almost as much. I like talking about the comic in this thread because it’s the most appropriate for it on SRK and SRK is pretty much the only forum I frequent these days. I’m pretty sure I kinda sorta spoiled some stuff earlier (sorry OWA :() but I think the mods should start infracting people who don’t use spoiler tags when needed. Talking about the newest episode is OK in my book since people should know better than to wander into this thread when they haven’t seen it yet but spoiling stuff from the comic is just shitty.
