bleh the baby being the cure would be a bit corny to me. that was pretty much the plot of 28 weeks later
then again I don’t know any better way to wrap this show up w/o some kind of cure. actually don’t think id mind an open ended ending though in this show even though I normally hate them. pretty much every zombie movie I’ve ever seen ends that way
All of Romero’s Zombie films ended without a cure being found. There was definite finality in his films too and it was satisfying as hell… except for the new trilogy. Same with Fulci’s Zombie films too.

The comic stopped being relevant at issue 100 when Kirkman decided to re-tell the Governor story. But yeah, the Prison storyline with the Governor was the all time peak of the comic.
Dennis Hopper was the only good part of the new trilogy
I wouldn’t mind this show turning into a movie. IMO the show has shown enough success to warrant a movie. Maybe it could stay true to the comics rather than the show.
I honestly thought that John Leguizamo was very good and Hopper’s presence was appreciated but it sucked that they didn’t really have anything interesting to say or do for the most part. What a complete waste of Hopper; one of the greatest actors of old Hollywood and a fantastic villain in almost every film he’s in and he has nothing to do except pick his nose and use the “look behind you!” trick.
All three films of the new trilogy are horrible. Such a shame.
Your bad taste in hating on great games notwithstanding, continue to try to ruin decent TV shows and you will meet a painful end.
The show/comic ends in one of three ways in my mind
Carl lives on as an adult, proving that he has become a positive force on the world, Rick succeeded
Carl dies, Rick Failed
Carl lives on, but he becomes more psychotic than the Governer and Shane, thus proving Rick failed
It’s a bit corny, but I can see them possibly ending up at another CDC facility or some lab somewhere and having some surviving scientists run tests on the group, only to find out that since the baby was conceived post-plague, constant exposure to the virus in the womb forced the fetus to develop antibodies/an immunity, and that a vaccine can be mass produced from blood/dna samples or what have you.
The baby plotline has been looming over a large portion of the series’ timeline so far. I doubt Zaramont would be so quick to kill it off.
Could probably bring the Shane/Lori stuff full-circle too. I dunno.
I don’t see an end in sight for the comic. Not until the show is finished anyway. They gotta’ milk that shit till the last drop.
Speaking of which besides Sofia have we seen a kid or baby zombie?!
On the show and in the comic there have been kid zombies but no baby or toddler zombies ala Dawn of the Dead remake or Dead/Alive AKA Braindead.
I really dont remember any on the show outside of Sofia
1st episode of season 1 opened with a little kid zombie getting shot by Rick.
What if they have to eat the baby’s internal organs to be cured? Is it acceptable then?
If the baby is the cure, SWBeta dies in a way that would make Dexter Morgan blush.
Then that wouldn’t be a viable cure for everyone.
