Finally, after completing the initial sketch a month and 8 days ago, I have finally decided to finish this picture.
That’s one down, like 34 to go. This is going to take like 3 years. I don’t think I am all that dedicated.

EDIT - Her eyes were driving me crazy. They were bugged out crazy. I fixed them to make more sense with her characters demeanor.

I wanted to put the kanji on his belt actually on his belt.
But 1. I don’t know japanese and 2. I couldn’t find a clear reference pic, I tried to freestyle it off of this one SF4 screen, but that just looked dumb.
My bootleg glove designs are pretty close, so they work pretty well.
Nice Ryu, Vslash. Main thing that bugs me is that his left foot should be lower since it’s in front of the right one. I like the sense of rhythm in your line works. The grenades on Girlento are very appropriately placed.

I guess his left leg is longer then the other and is phasing.
That is my excuse.
You know I redrew that foot like 4 times too? You’d think I’d notice it wasn’t touching the “ground” properly.
Grenips are important dynamic composition tools. I think we can all agree on that.

Hey man, your style is evolving. Very cool. I like the Naruto stuff alot. A trick I like to use when I’m drawing is to look at it in the mirror every 5 mins or so…or bring it into the light and looking through the drawing from behind the paper. It’s like a jab reset and you will spot the occasional, goofy ryu foot.

Thanks man. I really need to sit down and put in a good deal of practice everyday. I do get that problem with symmetry a lot.
I think drawing consistently instead of doing a sketch every 6 months could provide some form of improvement.
Comparing your older sketches with that last Date one; wow, you’re pretty much improving very well! I like the expression he’s sporting + the pose and flashy text effects
