Ibuki auto pilot, that’s why she’s winning 1st place in everything! Lol. Sako has incredible skill at spacing, footsies, and reads as well as unparalleled execution. He never uses the most powerful character, though he often uses a strong one. Sako out footsied Fuudo Fei with E. Ryu, and out footsied Daigo Ryu in Topanga with Ibuki. BTW Sako has been playing fighting games since SF2 and kicking ass at them, so he’ll be just fine when Ultra arrives.
Idk how I got in this thread, but you guys are putting too much on what these guys have done in sf4.
Nuki/Daigo/Tokido all have the better careers compared to Sako and Haitani.
also yes to that one guy, D44 is great at cvs2…but thats like the only game he is notable for.
iirc BAS was a pretty incredible alpha / zero 3 player.

Nuki made recently a comeback at sfiv with chun.still needs some time adapting.

Thought Sako played Urien in 3s? You can find tournament footage of him on youtube.
They all played 3rd Strike at some point. Pretty hard to not find footage of them for it.
But they definitely got a lot of fame from Vampire Savior.
what is each god’s best game? for Nuki, Daigo, and Tokido at least I don’t think it’s a clear cut answer.
I guess you’d have to go by results. Daigo’s gone on record for saying that he loves ST the most, and Nuki thinks it’s the manliest game, but I don’t think either would be their best game.
Daigo seems to have found the most success in VSav, ST, CVS2, and SF4.
Nuki seemed to do well in VSav, 3s, and CVS2.
Tokido did extremely well in the early years of CVS2 and now SF4.
I’m not sure about their non-Capcom related success.
Why do you view these people as gods? No wonder why most people are helpless against these players. Because everyone thinks TOO highly of them. Are they amazing? Yes are they gods? Hell no. There will always be better players than these 5 guys.

Nuki’s best games are ST and 3s, he’s a beast in both of them.
Daigo found the most success in ST, A3 and SFIV, he was really good in 3s and CvS2 but other players had more success than him.
Tokido is a beast in pretty much everything he touches, this is the one player that I don’t think has a clear-cut answer.
CGAJ: A while ago, you talked about the origins of the Five Gods of Japan. Could you elaborate on this again, and how do you feel about the Five Gods today? Do you think there is a new Five Gods? If so, who are they now?
Nuki: To this day, I actually don’t know who started that fable, haha! However, I hate to blow my own horn, but I’m confident that Daigo, Tokido and I were really ahead of others in Capcom fighting games at the time. During that time, there weren’t many strong players in the west and two geniuses, but Sako and Haitani became famous with their high-level Vampire Savior play. I suppose from that moment on, we became the Five Gods in the eyes of our fans.
I haven’t been playing competitively recently, so it’s difficult for me to definitively say who the new Five Gods are. However, I can definitely say that Fuudo and Kazunoko are two of the strongest players right now.
Personally, I like Sako. Sick combos yo.
Although, most of them use unblockables, which is alright since it’s a part of the game but… Everyone hates it.
