The very BEST of the 5 Fighting Gods?

when I think of goat players, I look at it the same way I do athletes.
consistant over time, not a one and done.
To me that is hands down daigo. Especially with his recent preformances.

I thought Daigo was a big name in Hunter moreso than Savior…

Wow, this is on Wikipedia

But yeah, looks like you’re right. This seems to have been Hunter.

“He first joined a tournament when he entered GAMEST Cup’s national Vampire Hunter tournament in 1995,[23] though he lost in the block’s finals.[24] His second tournament and also his first tournament winning is GAMEST Cup’s national Vampire Savior tournament in 1997 where he defeated Ōnuki (now Nuki) in the finals.[24][25][26]”

He played both.

Yeah it started out as joke, but it’s a legend now cause you can’t deny that all five of them are GODLIKE. I can’t remember exactly where I got this from, but for a little while Nuki and Tokido started a Five Gods Club because they thought it was hilarious. Daigo, Nuki, Tokido attended. Not sure if Sako went. Haitani went for awhile, but left because he felt embarrassed. I need a source check for that though cause my memory is fuzzy. As for Daigo’s win streak, there’s an interview somewhere around the web confirming straight from the Beast’s mouth about it.

Nuki is my favorite of the five gods, and arguably my favorite player in the world. The 09ers/new blood don’t know as much about Nuki (I’m new myself), since it was right around that time that he decided to “retire”. He still plays fighting games regularly, but he stopped playing competitively instead playing purely for fun. He was the top Chun-Li player in arcade ranking in Vanilla SF4. Along with Nemo and Haneyama, was considered the top Chun-Li players from Vanilla. He stayed away from SF4 for awhile, but started playing AE2012 after a friend bought him an Xbox 360. He plays Seth now after watching Kazunoko, and thought to himself that Seth looked fun to play. Still not taking it as seriously though. Chun’s getting buffed so I hope he comes back.

If you haven’t already watched this here you go, remember to turn on the captions.

I think Nuki just doesn’t play sf4 as much. He’s still pretty active in ST and 3S afaik. Still highest ranked 3s player and very high ranked ST player in the danisen rankings.

As for rx and tominaga… I think both are very strong too but those five I mentioned are on another level

I find the lack of mention of Bas and CvS2 disturbing and I’ll be telling on you all when I see him in a couple of weeks. If anyone here disappears because of ninja, you know who sent them.

Nuki thinks SF4 is hella boring, can’t blame him. Yeah AFAIK Nuki is still active in those games, although I have a hard time finding new replays of him. If anyone could provide me a link that would be awesome. And if it bumps Nuki a few more points up in your ranking, MOV admitted himself that Nuki was the best 3rd strike player.

Nuki still plays in the east vs west battles pretty often. The third strike match vids thread and TheShend channel on YouTube should both have those.

Afaik, Bas only made a big splash in A3 and CVS2. Outside of that, he really hasn’t had any notable achievements.

Dylan, Dylan, Dylan, Dylan and Dylan.

Where’s the “shameless namedrop” -button?

No hate though.

I agree however Kuroda is on another level from the other 4.

Top 5 fighting game gods ( fact not opinion, not arguable either) no order

  • Celerity
  • Blufang
  • D3v
  • Kromo
  • Yorkey

All prodigies but daigo best at sf tokido. Most versatile

Haitani
HYPE GOD

Tokido does play a lot of games… Still till this day i was surprised he made it to grand finals in AE O_O

Because as a Todai graduate, he knows to always rock that Sanford tech.

Who’s the best : Daigo without a doubt. As far as Dominance throughout one’s career, no one was as constantly dominant than Daigo at street fighter. Add to that that he is a really respectful, modest and nice guy, what is there not to love

Who’s my favorite : Tokido. Always stuck by his guns, Good guy, is modest but isnt afraid to take out the murder face to scare his opponent, puts on a great show, very humble in win and defeat. And he’s more aggressive than Daigo i find ( Ofc because well he plays Akuma ).
I Can’t explain this one, i just really like Tokido, i was screaming my lungs off when he destroyed everyone till finals.
