Hey why not?
Well, now… if that ain’t damned sexy, I dunno what is. Good to see she’s got a good AA (at least if timed properly). That was one of the few issues I still had left with her.
Well in animu games air throw is always the gdlk AA. Jump normals should be very strong for AA also as par with the aerial rave games. Not that I’ve seen her s.LP but I would assume that wouldn’t be bad either as is the case with a lot of s.LP’s in these games.
rewatching Valentine walktrough Judging solely on looks, maybe the second or third hit(their animations seem to have a wee bit more vertical range) but I doubt the first. Again basing only off looks.
A large attack box without any hurt box behind it makes a really good move and it hits in the right place to stop an IAD (that’s what Filia was doing). If you only look at the positives it’s like a GGXX 6P, but it can’t be that good. It’s a pretty slow starting normal and the laggy recovery makes it a bad move to throw out on it’s own. The second and third HK can easily miss and don’t make the move safer on block, either.
Sorry, should have clarified - was referring to s.LP. not s.HK but I’m guessing you’re talking about both Pizzarino?
Yeah he was probably talking about s.HK.
I feel as long as I can find some type of air normal for AA + air throw I’ll be good to go. By the time the game comes out there will most likely be some ground normal we’re overlooking for that purpose also.
Her c.HP/launcher looks like it hits at the angle needed for a solid AA also just from watching vids. Her c.MP where she swipes her bonesaw towards the air should be good also.
This character is going to be so popular initially. Sorta like the Raven of SGs.
Okay so this is pretty specific question, but I want to know a few things about the poison how it works.
-
Let’s say I had the shuriken move (QCF+P) as an assist and when Valentine was on point I used apply poison and switched her out somehow. If I used the assist, would the poison come as if I did the move on point?
-
If I applied the lag poison to an opponent and then knocked them down and they were holding up on the stick, would they jump after the number of frames the delay is on the poison or was the jump input from holding up stored then done on wake-up and the jump is done instantly?
For the first question…probably but not sure.
For the second question, I would assume that you would jump as normal since it’s only your inputs that are being lagged and not speed of the character.
Mmmmm, well I suppose having input lag on wake-up is still good oki, especially against Cerebella. You’d be able to force someone to commit to an action like say jumping and it would be easier to predict what they were going to do. Otherwise, free 360.
Yes. Poison replaces shuriken when loaded.
Can anyone think of any assists that might let Valentine do something like this:
Ground throw > Ready poison > (assist) > rest of combo.
I was thinking maybe double’s slide kick would work, or one of cerebella’s command throws, but I am not for sure.
Also can you special cancel into ready poison from normals and can you also supercancel out of ready poison?
I know Filia’s Updo (srk) would be a nice assist for setting that up or Double’s s.HP. Cilia Slide wouldn’t work because it causes knockdown.
Which game was he really popular in initially? Talking about 5?
Don’t have the game, but I’m gonna hazard a guess he means SFxT, Raven seemed like he was getting a lot of attention before the game dropped so that’s what I assumed at least
I mean Raven in SFxT. He is pretty popular still from a cursory glance…
Edit: Just noticed The Count in the back there, proceeding to lmfao
Most likely yes on both. In Marvel type games there are very little special moves that can’t be cancelled into from normals and very little supers that can’t be cancelled into from specials.
Valentine looks dope, might run her ratio 3.
