I don’t have any amazing combos to contribute right now, but i just filmed this on the shitcam3000 and it gave me tons of ideas for possible vial combos. I haven’t attempted anything yet so it might not even work well for green vial. After the first super, every normal i caught with triggered the IPS so i just went into super. Maybe I can do some jump attacks? idk :\
Thanks for that one. Breaking it down into chunks and practicing that way seems to be much much easier. And also thanks for specifying the hit amount.
I got that one down except I fudge relaunching about half the time (Val’s relaunch just feels super sticky to me for some reason, rarely) I end up doing shuriken instead of launch or right after.
About 5 - 10 more minutes and I should be able to do the above along with 2 jHK after the last launcher with over a 50% success rate.
Then I’ll take to using it online so I can make sure I can make it come out in the heat of battle.
Then I’ll come back her and learn something harder.
(Or work on Fortune; my Double on the other hand I feel very competent with.)
EDIT: So I can’t do the second HK because IPS triggers, and the damage output after a jMK jHK QCF-HK added on to what you told me above is basically the EXACT same thing as if I just do cLK cMK cHP HK(2) IAD HK(2) QCF-HK.
I appreciate getting the execution practice, and it helps move the opponent across the stage more… but… got anything else simple that does more damage?
Because cLK cMK cHP HK(2) IAD HK(2) QCF-HK does 3491 damage. And is ridiculously easy.
Update: I couldn’t stay away from the lab & randomly made a Poison Syringe combo, or juss threw it in the end of my usual midscreen after hkx2 then straight to Major Surgery (Ok, I’ll call it Flatliner this once), really___dunno if it gets better damage than a green syringe combo, though (since psn dmg doesn’t show when not being hit).
Would be better to do a green syringe if you’re too far from the wall, if not, better to pop an alpha blade (since you can’t get that awesome dmg in without a wallbounce) before the hkx2 psn~
Still trynna break 6.5k mid-screen with simple inputs & I figured out how rei could pull so many j.hk(2)s for 800dmg each more than j.hp(875) & get 7.4k _____ 2 ALPHA BLADES! You kept them in the air so you could alpha without using your otg. VERY smart & that’s why you use land/dash/jumps, to keep the forward momentum to push to the corner to pop those alphas off! (also used cock assist, though) I’m gunna try to make a wall-to-wall with no assist or syringe (will prolly end up doing a shitload of land/dash/jumps) which i prolly won’t use very often, due to impracticality/my not-top-tier stixecution, but I wanna prove to myself that I can!
I keep having the last jHK send them too high up to QCF-HK it though… any timing tips?
(EDIT: I can do the whole thing without jMK in there at all though, and that’s still a 500 damage up from what I had before since I didn’t realize you could jHP before the first bodybag. With MK though the bag just keep getting one hit and missing whiffing on the second because the opponent is too high up. Does it work on all characters or am I mistiming something?)
Combos that work on everybody are a bit frustrating in this game because they technically work but we don’t have a way to write the slight delays from body to body. Best thing to do is to play around until you get since you’ll learn a lot about the character from messing up. Even the little sequence that I gave you has a bit of adjustments here and there depending on the person. This is either wacky or shitty depending on which side of fence you sit in regarding the issue.
Could somebody double check a tiny thing for me to see if it works? Because it looks like Valentine can link 2 of her scalpel supers from far away. It also seems to work with a cornered opponent and valentine standing behind the timer. Only problem is that I can’t see if the hitspark on the second super hitting OTG are blue or regular.
I use Peacock(george airshow) and Valentine(Mortuary Drop). So far I have been doing decently good without jumping into the lab to work on long combos. My Main Valentine Combo is Lp Mp multitap, 3HK, and load green Poison. If I have a green poison, I toss that out after the second HK, and go to town. It’s a very basic, simple combo, but it works for me, but I want to learn more.
I was wondering if anyone has any beginner combo’s to start on?. I don’t know any launcher combos, and my air game kinda sucks right now. Anycombos or tips to improve those would be great.
Oh, how many times has Valentine’s level 5 saved you? Quite a few for me. One time I was losing, and time was about to run out. I revived Peacock, and won in time over due Peacock being back, haha.
EDIT: Oh, and timing on button presses would be great… since I have the most trouble with that sometimes.
You sure? I have played a few people multiple times, and it is a great mix up against peacock’s Item drop move, and other jump in high attacks, or against block strings.
It is just so slow, I don’t see how you could call it against a Peacock and what it would do anyway? haha.
It is too easy to see basically, you have to lock them down to even call it and once they see it all your can really do is a low to mix it up, but that isn’t really any stronger than just doing your own throw.
I’m thinking of running my team Surgical (Val/Cock) for tourny-worthy play. But, everyone seems to need some cray-cray hard-to-escape or nasty mixup to appear borked-tier. I remember seeing that cock 50/50 lenny mixup (nice) but, I’ve been focussing on Solo Val most of the time. Does anyone know of any frustrating setups/lockdowns with Val/Cock?
I’m not sure if I’ve played anyone GREAT, yet__but, I don’t have too much trouble with Peas or Bellas~
My bad. I didn’t mean use it against Peacock. I mean I use Peacock Item drop, and while the guy is defeanding against that, I have Val Grab them. They can either be grabbed, or get hit on the head. I even got the timing down so if they are grabbed, I can have the item hit them while they are still in the body bag, doing damage from both. You have to let the item hit RIGHT as they are grabbed though.
Sweet… got a link for it? Let’s see if I can never do this combo
Sometimes they do, but if I time it they I am dashing over them as I call out the assist, they screw up. You just need to bait them to either try to attack you, or the assist, and you will hit them with something.
It’s should be doable for the average joe, which is why I’m not posting it for the time being. It’ll be more interesting to see what people can find when trying to figure this out. lol
