how much further are they gonna nerf him? rekkas got nerfed again. i hope they buff back his chickenwing kicks at least. after all they gave cammy back her tk cannon strike. i’m hoping they’ll give the invincibility back on his hk chickenwing kick and also make close mp comboable into hk chickenwing kick again. additionally give back the crossup hitboxes on all of the chickenwing kick.
as for ibuki, correct me if i’m wrong, but doesnt tsumuji with the down+kick ender cause a hard knockdown?
When did it say Cammy got TKCS back. All I heard is that it has a lower height restriction. Lower Height =/= Instant. It’s like me saying ZOMG!! her hard attacks have less stun/dmg now they’re going to do less than jabs and it’s impossible to stun/kill now. Am I doing it right??
As long they only nerf Rekka Ken’s range for LP I am ok with it, but if they do it for all 3 P then I’m going to be seriously pissed. At least buff him in other areas like they are doing with Cammy for crying out loud. I am thinking of writing a complaint letter to Capcom as a result (yeah I know it’s a futile effort but I have to try).
close range s.HP into cr.MK is not a link, s.HP has too much throwback and cause cr.MK to miss
his crossups are 1 frame meter stuff, almost every other character have free meterless crossups when a character fall to the ground. j.HP can crossup but the timing of it make it unreliable and bad. Bloody Highclaw enter in combos but its way too situational and hard to time in reaction, so as a neutral game based Ultra it shouldnt be as punishable as its now. More invincibility on backflip or invincible anti-air is just a way to be able to deal with the top tiers, you really think its fair for Vega to have to charge an anti-air with no invincibility, when all the other characters have srk motion invincible from 1st frame stuff plus the vortex game? you charge the motion, character crossup you, your charge time back to 0 again.
Vega is ****ing bottom tier in AE 2012, all the Vegas get bodied for those weak points in high level tournaments, and you, a nobody, dare to call somebody asking for vega buffs a troll or an ignorant. lol the world…
I believe it does end in a hard knock down. I think she still has a good amount of ways to start a vortex, its just now she has to set them up differently.

Lower to the ground means the limit is not the top of their heads but their eyebrow probably. Not much. iCS will never return, it’s too broken.
Damage and Stun reduction on heavy attacks only means she’ll take away third of your hp in a combo instead of three quarters and she’ll need to work harder to put you in stun, rather than, oops sorry you just got stunned.

Haha sorry “win in 2 combos” It’s all explained in the vid. She had a bit of a “2 combos then you’re dead” reputation. The same combos are still available, only less effective.
Glortor: all the changes they showed in their presentation, are EXAMPLES of the changes they are making. Which probably means there are probably more coming down the line. I doubt they would only do 3 balance changes per character. So cammy might take a bigger hit than what we’ve been shown.
Capcom is trolling the world hard.
Making all of us go to Capcom-Unity to voice the needed changes to take place to fix all of the bad match ups, vortexes, option selects, and other game shenanigans to balance out the tiers and make every character tournament viable,
only to tell us these issues will be addressed in the next installment of SF4…
by throwing in 5 new characters that no one knows how they will affect tier rankings and match ups.
If the game(AE2012) has horrid match ups now, why would throwing 5 new characters into the fray make the balance/match up situation any better in Ultra?
How about giving us a game where the characters we currently have now will have better overall match ups.
We all know people will figure out ways to commit undiscovered vortexes with the 5 new characters the moment Ultra drops.
So lets not even bother contemplating to ourselves that SF4U will be rebalanced and horrid match ups diminished.

match ups will still be horrid.
But AE is balanced. One of the characters who has it the worst has 5 7-3 matchups and one 9-1/8-2 matchup out of 39 characters. The rest are all 5-5 and 6-4… and that’s who character who arguably has it the worst.
None of these characters are even vortex characters (except maybe the 5th?). Why is a vortex even a broken tactic. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people who would lose to Ryu jLk/jMK cr.mp cr.HK. And essentially that would be a vortex since they are bad at blocking.
Update/upkeep money isn’t always accounted for in the initial games budget…especially not 5 years after release. (although sequel development often is)
More revenue can be generated by selling the update as DLC.
DLC for merely tweaking the maths and geometry of a game isn’t appealing to mainstream players, and will probably fall by the wayside.
Turning your game into a toybox full of different Barbies with different outfits IS appealing to mainstream players.

As someone who wants the update for the sake of the actual update, I’m ok with it…the Barbies can stay too.
First of all “vortex” is a retarded buzzword that I wish had never caught on.
Secondly unless they completely screw up his gameplay I don’t know how someone can’t classify Rolento as a (ugh) “vortex” character. Also depending on the properties on Poison’s fireball she could be one as well.
Because he doesn’t have a looping oki. Wth? Just think about it even in Alpha where this dude was annoying as hell he wasn’t a vortex character. He most certainly isn’t in SFxT. He could crossup twice but that’s it. And how on Earth is Poison a vortex character or even has the potential to be a vortex character with her moveset being imported from SFxT? Is Gouken a vortex character too?
Vortex doesn’t mean that they have crossups or mixups. It’s an oki that leads back into itself or a mixup that leads into the same scenario and in most cases cover a wide variety of options. Just think of Cammy’s oki after HK spiral or Ibuki’s Kunai set ups or even akuma.
Being a former Fei main, here is my proposition on how to change him
They should add either a slightly larger hurtbox to his fist during startup, or a larger hurtbox around his legs to his rekkas. They should also severely reduce the pushback on block. Let’s face it, they stuff a lot of things they shouldn’t, and the pushback allows him to maintain supreme corner control.
To compensate they should add a frame of block stun so that he could still be thrown during recovery, just harder to punish with a combo. They might not even have to compensate for this nerf though. These changes would still allow him to push the opponent in the corner, random ones would just get stuffed more often and he would be punished easier for throwing them out recklessly. For his EX rekka, they should make the projectile hitbox come out a frame or two before the strike hitbox, and increased the active frames by about 5-7. This would help him against shotos in exchange for a bar. In exchange, they should reduce the block stun for the first two hits by 2, giving them a -2F/-3F disadvantage.
The cr.lk startup nerf can stay, but give him an additional frame of hit and block stun so he can link/frame trap into cl.hp.
Heavy chicken wing should get an additional 10-20 damage.
Make his overhead at least safe on HIT. As it is now, Gief can punish this with U1 on hit, which I find absolutely ridiculous. They can even nerf the damage back to 60.
Make forward + HK useful by lowering the damage by 30, but reducing the pushback so he can consistently link into cr.lp.
For U1 they should either reduce the startup by 2-3 frames, or increase the distance it travels during startup so it can actually punish projectiles. Again, they could reduce the damage for better utility.
So he has at least one pure nerf, reduce his stun to 950.
I feel these changes would allow Fei to be a more fun character, while not allowing him to bully his opponents as much as he does now.
