How’s the training coming along?
Haha Myrkur it’s all good they all act like best of chums in person. I’ve never seen anyone in the community have a problem in real life, so all the ribbing should just be motivation for others. Dsinnie is a troll, but he’s a pretty chill guy.
Also, no one knows me man haha. I’m just a random Bison. I hope you come out to more events in the future, I would like to see our numbers continue to grow and more people get better.
P.S. EVERYONE COME OUT THURSDAY!!! I WANT IT TO BE THE HYPEST CROWD!!! SO LEZGO!!!
lets…GET THE MONEY
yes get me the money…
also how is this working about what time can we expect aleri and jimmel to play so i can find time to go on break so i can watch.
Hmmm…Lets get this show on the road, eh?

This was supposed to be addressed last night, but since I never got to it I was asked to just post it up here for all to see:
*Aleri vs. SeanMiyagi, THE PRE-TRAINING REVIEW
***Aleri has been participating in Street Fighter IV tournaments since February 21st, 2009 when we had the 32-man City and Sound Tournament #1 in Virginia Beach. He tied for 9th alongside Ariez, Kitsune King, and SMP.
***a week after that at a ranbat on February 28th, SeanMiyagi would appear. This would be the first time both Aleri and SeanMiyagi would be in the same tournament, and both of them playing as Ryu no less. This ranbat would mark the ONE tournament where Sean Miyagi (who tied for 7th) would outplace Aleri (who tied for 9th).
***After that in March 2009, Aleri would switch to Balrog (he also occasionally used Blanka at first) and began to tie for 5th in various tournaments and ranbats. He?d hit a slump in April and early May as he began to drop in placings. Then suddenly in mid-May, Aleri would begin placing 5th or 3rd in EVERY tournament he entered until he stopped showing up sometime around July. On the two occasions that he placed 3rd, he outplaced strong players such as Foomy, Kitsune King, and JayInVA.
***Meanwhile, SeanMiyagi was fighting for his life, placing 9th, 13th, and sometimes even 17th in tournaments. His character-use fluctuated between Ryu, Abel, and even Balrog. However I had yet to find a time when SeanMiyagi placed last, so at this time he had always sort of floated around the middle, constantly being one win from top 8. To put in simply: SeanMiyagi just hadn?t had any time to shine but was never down-and-out.
***Around the end of 2009 and early 2010 in Vanilla, SeanMiyagi would continue to participate in a good amount of tournaments:
-at Ranbat 4.1 [November 2009] with 16 entrants, Miyagi tied for last for the first time ever.
-at Ranbat 4.4 [February 2010] with 23 entrants, Miyagi tied for 9th.
-in March 2010, Aleri would reappear in SoVA just in time for the last Vanilla tournament at Games N Trade in Norfolk. 53 entrants, Aleri tied for 5th and SeanMiyagi tied for 13th.
***Now, let?s talk about SUPER Street Fighter IV.
In early May 2010 the first SUPER tournament takes place at the SoVA Revival in Norfolk. 44 entrants, SeanMiyagi tied for 25th. He lost to Mito and Video. He received one bye and then defeated Keith (aka “keefpadthai”), Vince’s co-worker.
***Later that month at City & Sound #4 in Virginia Beach, the first SUPER tournament with BOTH Aleri and SeanMiyagi participating takes place. 29 entrants. Aleri ties for 13th using Balrog (defeated by yours truly…thank you, thank you) and SeanMiyagi ties for 17th using Viper and Makoto. They weren?t too far from each other in placings on that one.
This brings us up to date for “The Ultimate Street Fighter: SoVA” event. The revised player bios are:
***Aleri’s got some good placings under his belt in both Vanilla and Super. He knows which character he likes, Balrog, and has put a lot of competitive time into him. He?s always very focused when he plays, plays very solid (which means very little gimmicks or tricks involved), and he?s got the execution to back it all up.
***SeanMiyagi has played the game about as long as Aleri and has explored various characters. He?s shown potential with each one numerous times, but hasn’t really zeroed-in on which one is for him. This tends to make his competitive record fluctuate. Sometimes he does fairly well and sometimes he doesn?t really get anywhere. I can say for sure though that I?ve seen him perform some of the more difficult techniques with each character he plays [Fuerte RSF, Makoto links, C.Viper ANYTHING] so he?s got what I would consider to be very good execution.
**After reviewing both of these players competitively, I would have to place Miyagi as the underdog in this match-up as of now. Aleri has a much more impressive win record and consistency in placings. He’s a straight-edge player all around. However post-training, it’s up in the air for whose going to take the win in The Ultimate Street Fighter: SoVA.
And that led up to the match we saw last night. Both players performed extremely well and I was very impressed with the level of improvement. Great work, gentlemen!
How are the competitors for this Thursday coming along?
