lol funny stuff.
any estimate on when your vid is gonna be done? I’m fiendin over here.
Now that I have a Dante, I realize Magneto/Dante and Dante/Magneto are fucking great together. I’ll take Wesker/Dante/Mags over Mags/Wesker/Sentinel any day.
Drones is still the best assist though.
Well, the video will be complete once I get my hands on Jill and Shuma (only needing Jill for one of the teams within the video) and that might take a little while longer than expected. Know this though, that I am still working on this video. Also, Magneto air Tempest into Spiral Sword shenanigans. Does about 700k off of a reset.
I’m about to be doing Dante/Mags/Sent soon once I learn some more Dante complex stuff.
I feel like I should probably be asking this in the Q/A thread but I figure it couldn’t hurt to ask here…
What exactly should I be aiming to learn for the most consistent/optimal BnBs? My execution is pretty good at this point, I play other heavy execution characters like Zero/Dante/Viper/Doom etc, and i’ve been dicking around with Mags in the lab for about a couple days with a Mags/Doom/Sent team, but i’m still not really sure what the all-in-one BnBs I should be doing. At first I was doing Magblast loops but I found it a bit inconsistent with the constant adjusting for height and timing, and I found it a little hard to transition into the hypergrav loop so I had to end in shockwave most of the time ( which knocks down like 400k damage because I couldn’t Tempest>Sphere Flame DHC )
So right know all i’ve been doing are fly loops>hyper grav loops>Tempest>DHC and it nets me about 930-950k with the DHC, should I be comfortable with this or do I need to aim higher?
Also how important is it to learn the Doom TAC combos? I’m not a fan of TACs but I figure at the minimum its important to throw out there so I can mix it up with the hypergrav reset.
Rlly? You got the grav loops, mag blast, fly loops down after a couple days in the lab?
That’s annoying.
I do pretty ghetto versions of the loops, so its not that impressive. Also a couple days means like 8-12+ hour grind sessions each day, I had a pretty uneventful weekend.
His ROM is the best universal BnB, you can carry from fullscreen or midscreen to corner. It does around the same damage as his mag blast loops and it’s easier.
What level of Swagnus do you want to reach?
For starters…
You should check out BloodaBeast, Kunta Kun, Dino, Anima922, and many others youtube page. They have everything you will need to turn yo Magnus into Swagnus since you all play the same team.
And for combos…
Choose one or learn them all

I can do the MBlast loop consistently on every character just fine, but if its not working for you then its no trouble finding something else. The great thing about Magneto is that there is so many variations to his combos that every player can kind of think of something you unique. I know of 5 other Magneto players around my area, and none of us do the same exact combos.
I personally find the ROM to be extremely difficult. However if you think you can pull it off, give it a try. Fanatiq still uses it somewhat often, but I think most other Magneto players like RayRay and FChamp use MBlast loops.
You could also try the Tokido combo, which is like the MBlast loop and the fly combo put together. Never tried it out my self, but apparently it corner carries and does similar damage to some MBlast loops.
Wow, didn’t expect the Magneto forums to be so active, maybe its just one of those Sundays =p, thanks for the replies though. I think what i’m doing for now is going to work out decently then, i’ll probably try out the ROM or maybe see if I can get an MBlast combo that works for me.
Hope to see you guys at NCR!
Some people have been saying the ROM is actually easier. HOW ARE YOU GUYS NOT FUCKING UP AND GETTING TK DISRUPTORS D: .
The loop I would do if you’re finding straight Blast loops inconsistent is the Tokido loop as well or the Japan combo ie. launcher jH addf jH dash stS jH adf jH backwards fly jL jH x5 jS
I only get TK disruptors if I start at down forward and roll the motion for super jump H.
If I do my starter from down back and go diagonally straight to the top corner of my stick for super jump H, I dont get the tk motion.
The issue with doing the ROM in UMvC3 is that all your super jump Hs have to be upforward outside of the corner. Can’t do upback or up anymore.
How much damage does a max rep ROM get out of a cLMHS starter?
less than 800k if you plan on using tempest, I think.
Backwards fly?
qcf s.
Its because the the 2nd Fierce of the H adf H crosses under.
Why doesn’t anyone do empire combo in corner? People say its not practical, but my execution is ass (can’t do rom in umvc3) and I can get it down in matches with a 75-80% consistency. I’m sure people with good execution should be able to get it down close to 100%. my max with it is 650 pre super with no assists, I’m sure it can be optimized to be the best corner bnb.
Well, usually when it comes to doing the empire combo people who say that it’s “impractical” are the ones who can’t actually get the combo down. I HAVE this combo down for styling purposes.
Also, sometimes when I’m midscreen I just do {cr.:h:}:s: j:h: adf j:h: 896:l: land sjuf j:h: adf j:h: 896:l: land **(Corner position) **sjuf j:h: adf j:h: 896:l: s:h: 214:l: sjuf add j:s: s:h: 214:l: sjuf add j:h: s:h: 214:l: sju add j:h: s:h: 214:l: xx 214:l:
Bolded curly brackets are optional meaning you can start the combo with anything. It’s recommended that you lessen things at the beginning of your string so you get more **HG **reps later depending on each variaton.
You’ll love that damage.
I’m in the 90% range. That’s my snapback combo. People using fightsticks should be embarrassed. I think it’s funny as hell people spend money on a fightstick and still have terrible execution.
P.S. I use fightstick and pad
Because my execution sucks and I’m lazy.
and I hate practicing it because I always get TACs and tagging in characters is too much effort aka I’m lazy
