The ULTIMATE, Friendly-Neigborhood, Spider-man Team-building Thread

First two teams have no neutral assist if you’re using missiles, the last team has one with cold star but that isn’t as good as beams or projectile assists. Other than that, if you could play good without neutrals, those teams are pretty good.

On the 1st team, I was gonna use Plasma Beam with Doom, missiles on the 2nd team, and either beam or missiles on the 3rd

Hmmm, first team’s ok but doesn’t have a safe tag DHC from Spidey to Viper. The second still has a neutral assist problem but team synergy is good. The last one’s fine with missiles.

Btw, the previous posts are just my personal opinions. How you pick your team should be best based on your play style and personal preference. I play more of a run away Spidey with the occasional rushdown which is why I’d like a neutral assist. I use Hawkeye triple arrows because Spidey doesn’t have a fast projectile, it also keeps the opponent standing and is easy to confirm from. Hawkeye also has somewhat of a safe DHC with super scattershot.

I was thinking Spidey/Dante/Task or Spider/Dante/Doom or Spidey/Task/Doom. I like dooms character yet I don’t like his dash and I always Fck up his mid screen bnb. Any idea who has the most synergy?

Spidey and Dante work well together but you’d have to do raw tag combos to make the most of the duo.

There was a previous tourney in Brazil(I think) where Otavio played Spidey, Dante and Iron Man. It’s around 34 mins 20+. Forgot how to timestamp. :frowning: Iron Man’s unibeam assist is a really good neutral for that team but IM takes a lot of lab time to get good at. You could replace IM with any other decent neutral assist to help Spidey and Dante.

I was in the lab and I swear to god I chose Spidey dante Iron man. I was using wesker but I hate the character so much. plus I dont like relying on otg assists for combo. Gonna level up my 2 day old iron man and level up my week old spidey lol.

spidey/Trish? Or spidey/modok?

Spidey/Trish have easy UWT set ups great DHCs, complimentary assists , great batterys and can rush and keepaway plus sexy colors. Spidey/Modok have more complicated UWT set ups, mix ups for days. Complimentary assists, greater pool of Health, decent DHCs, great batterys. Can rush and keepaway, and ok color synergy… Plus a higher learning curve. Ideally doom would make this team catastrophic but of course I will play Phoenix as anchor. Probably switching back and forth between anchors for different matchups. Any thoughts?

Did you ever get around to posting all the pros of spidey/dorm? I was super interested back when i played spidey. Ive been missing the lil guy lately so I was wondering if you had since i have absolutely no interest in most6 of the other characters that extend spideys combos at all lol

spidey/dorm/akuma sounds pretty good to me or even swapping mag for akuma maybe?

and if i tried spidey/dante, im assuming akuma or mag would be best for this team as well?

definitely liking akuma tatsu so far. trying to get a solid setup for an instant overhead jM or jL
I know that it doesn’t work on some crouchers but if I can setup a fuzzy it should work on anyone except the really short chars

I haven’t really worked with fuzzy guard setups using Tatsu outside of web zip j.:l: j.:m: j.:s: or Spider Sting~:h: stuff but for a while I was working with setting up an IOH j.:l: or j.:m: while using Tatsu to continue the combo. I believe the notation for that was:
j.:l: j.:s: xx :df: Web Zip j.:s: land st.:m: st.:h: xx :m: Web Throw combo stuff

I need to work a little more on my setups because I’m feeling a bit too frantic in match. I feel as if I get some solid rushdown setups into my game then I should be able to slow my thought process down enough to think logically during my offense.

I can see it working very well. Like a newer version of Santhrax from MvC2. Spidey will be able to get away with certain stuff and substitute damage for hard to counter setups using Vergil.

I like Dante with weasel shot since you can do up-jump-zip-assist-call-cross-ups and still confirm as Dante hits your opponent. Dante extends Spidey’s combos very well through raw tags and Vergil is a good anchor. Dante with rapid slash though isn’t as good as Vergil with either weasel or jam session.

I am trying to incorporate Jill into a Spidey team, what assist would best in your opinions? and how could I use that assist to extend or begin combos. (I know I can web throw from her arrow assist)
