I think Dorm and any long-range durable projectile assist thatā€™s beam-like equals a great trap. Doom and Hawkeye are two of my personal favorites. :]

Donā€™t know why it hasnā€™t really been mentioned yet but Iā€™m looking for some general tips to improve my Dorms movement. Anything special things you guys like to do. The only things ive added to my bag is L teleport then dash down/down forward with L if they are grounded/low to grown and teleport air throw if someone superjumps.

^All I can say is use dark matter before doing any teleport.

Dorms only way past advance guard is teleports really. Iā€™ve been trying to come up with a blockstring that I can hit confirm into either a combo on hit, or a teleport + assist if they advance guard but its really hard to test properly in training mode.The dummy doesnt pushblock like a normal human being does.

My friends dorm used to use a lot of box dashes which I thought was really unique considering most dorms just spam tridash S (very guilty of this).Then again, I believe he was using Dorm/Doom/Wesker at the time so he was probably just setting up easy unblockables.

Flight mode is always something to throw into the mix too. Its main use now is to float in the top left/right of the screen and charge dark spells, but you do have unlimited dashes in flight. You can see MastaCJ use tri dashes in flight purely for escape alot of the time.You can get really fast with it but its kinda ass on offense because youā€™re making your approach painfully obvious. Id recommend it for running away.

Dorm isnt really known to be a movement beast outside of teleports, but its for good reason. If this guy had a decent wavedash, hed probably be broken.

You can do trijump bunny hops like how Doom does his for ground movement. Dormā€™s movement still slow despite him being able to bunny hop, but it works.

MastaCJ also used flight for teleport crossups. So, it can be useful for offense as long as youā€™ve been running away for the most part.

Is the Dark Matter xx Mass Change into jump loops the best solo midscreen BnB I should be rocking right now? I really want to stop being lazy and take Wesker off of my Dorm team so I canā€™t derp off of MMHS OTG MMHS but Iā€™m looking to optimizing my damage potential without it.

In terms of damage, yes. That alone does more damage than Dormammu extending combos with Wesker OTG in the corner. Midscreen, Wesker OTG extended combo can do more damage than a Dark Matter x Mass Change combo.

hey guys I didnā€™t play dorm in vanilla and Iā€™ve been converted and Iā€™m loving him in ultimate. My Dorm is pretty bad because I play him an anchor and I can usually win by just doing spirit bomb, x factor, purification(xN) I want to have a respectable dorm though and I need some helpā€¦

  1. **Whatā€™s his best flight bnb? **

Iā€™ve been doing launch, c, flight, a, c, dark hole, c, s, purification, chaotic flame. is this optimal?

  1. how to you do his dark hole TAC loop?

I air tag him in and do c, flight, a, c, dark hole, a, cā€¦ and then attempt another dark hole but in wonā€™t activate. Iā€™m guessing there are some weird engine rules that force you to unfly and then link the second or something. I canā€™t imagine how you would do the third loop in that case thoughā€¦

  1. Is there a reliable way to combo off dark matter, teleport mid secreen?

It seems like there are too many positional variables. even if I wanted to deal with flying after the teleport and chasing them, I canā€™t even confim which way to input the fly cause they could be anywhere!

You can add an :m: after Dark Holefor a bit more damage.

Iā€™ve been trying this in training mode and itā€™s reliable, I just havenā€™t got the timing down yet. The main thing is you need to do is make sure you teleport just as they hit the wall so that your teleport doesnā€™t mess up the wallbounce.

Hi hi so ive been trying otu dormamu and hes a fun character. I have a question about the purification assist. So while they are getting hit by it sometimes after the assist ends, if I use j. s they go in a spinning state in the air and sometimes they get knocked down to the ground. Is there a way to consistently get them to be knocked to the ground after using purification for a relaunch?

Also is dark hole a good assist to use so that you can approach behind it or is it more of a lockdown tool?

Dark Hole assist is more of a lockdown tool than anything. You could approach behind it if you know when & where to call it, since the assist has some odd spacing at times.

Regarding Purification assist, I think anyone who can do a ground bounce can knock someone down with their ground bounce move for a relaunch.

Karst, I have a question about beam assists for Dormammu. I did some testing on beams after I saw this on your Magneto (partner) section.

EM Disruptor is also the only beam in the game that allows Dormammu to combo off of Mass Change H; simply use the Mass Change M follow-up.

I actually did some testing with Plasma Beam and Unibeam. They both do combo off of Mass Change H midscreen as well. However, for some reason, Plasma Beam doesnā€™t seem very consistent.

I know you mentioned Disruptor as the best beam assist for Dormammu. Can you further elaborate on this? Is it because of the speed of the beam? I noticed I can do an easy 800k combo with Disruptor teleport crossup and extending the combo with Wesker OTG and Flight j.HS, land, cr.MS, air series -> OTGPurification xx Chaotic Flame?
