Hyper Fighting (without the glitched screen)
A TV to freely connect consoles would be awesome.

would be cool but dudes gotta make $$
YES: there is life. Give OCEguy’s creation (new location)…LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE! lol.
Does anyone still play 3s or CvS2? I’m up for trying to learn MB or however it’s abbrev’ed.
How about SAMURAI SHODOWN or something? 'damn…no one plays those games anymore, huh.

Definetly ST
Any old school games capcom fighter (non-vs. series)would be awsome. CPS1 or CPS2. I would be willing to donate some loot if need be for parts and sticks. I could possibly finance some boards too. I am over 30 years old now and I know most of us older dudes that are not students have real jobs. I assume other people will chip-in unless so-cal is full of cheap fuckers. The actual shin-ramyun eating students are exempt. Broke-ass bastards.
Alpha 3 or 2 big-screen would be coo’. After watching Kiyo’s A3 A-Ism Guy, I feel like giving the game another shot lol. SF 2 Turbo would be cool too (hyper fighting…what’s the DIF? speed?).
I’m close to your age, Rekka Ken lol. Do you use Fei Long?

Where’s the 3rd Strike and CvS2 action at in LA these days. Passed by UCLA’s student union to see things have changed. Trying to remember where else to go. Family Fun? Shatto Lanes? Little Tokyo?

go to ffa or ucla when school is in session (non summer)
That, and I think most copyright notices stipulate “no public performance”. Or maybe that was just videos/movies?
In any case, for a couple years, I thought it would be sort of neat to have rentable TV rooms for bring-your-own-consoles. Kind of like those karaoke joints but for console games. Then you can have gatherings when either your own place is too small or if you don’t want random people rifling through your dad’s wine cabinet. Although I can’t help but think maintaining customer volume might be a slight issue, as online games are all the rage now. But then there’s the karaoke option
ObRequests:[list][]Guilty Gear XX Accent Core. Although I’ve heard rumors about a possible “B-version” (arcade) in the near future, so I dunno. :xeye:
[] One of those “XYZ in 1” machines with:[list][]Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 & 2 (side-scrolling beat-em-up ones)
[] Magical Drop 3
[] KOF 98 (THE DREAM MATCH WILL NEVER END!!!)
[] Bubble Bobble 1 (the one before that silly puzzle thingy)
[*] microswitch stick (non-optical) with octagon/round gate for the added nostalgia

actually…now that i think back, i believe cal state LA had one tv that was completely free for use when we still had an arcade, and OCE was in charge.
i think it’s reasonable. cmon make it happen
When I was in high school, the game room in CSUDH had a TV that was more or less free for use… So it’s not impossible I guess.
What days/times does anyone play 3S? I didn’t even realize that DDR was missing…wtf happened to all the games? Maybe there’s no point in playing until the new quarter starts…?
nods I came in there just this friday night and the arcade was empty so I went to westwood arcade which is like 2 blocks down. Some people play there.
What games do the have at the arcade in Westwood? Anything worth playing? Oh, and if so, what was the quality of the machines/sticks?
They have a 3s cabinet with switch joysticks, (ultimate type) T5 DR, and a bunch of racing games.
WW arcade sucks now even WORSE cos everything is 50 cents at least
only good for DDR players.
