Stop complaining about lag that is maybe a fraction of a frame. How often is your opponent going to DP you out of a messed up combo, be able to FADC it, and have the meter to FADC to ultra? Also, improve your execution. Also, did you see my post above?
An Elf was running away from me since he had a life lead. I finally reclaimed the lead with a few seconds left. I dashed safely away, and since he was turtling the whole time, I couldn’t help but taunt as the timer reached 0. He did his dash to jump splash, but the timer ran out already. I hope he wasn’t offended.
That sounds like a match I had. I hope it wasn’t me.
I went into championship mode and the guy let the timer run down to 30 seconds only to find out that he’d picked Ken. I’m glad he waited so long to make such a tough decision (Ken or Ryu… Ken or Ryu…). He wasted my time so I decided to waste his. I got a slight life lead with Fuerte and proceded to run away for the entire match for three rounds of time out. I don’t think I won.
I think that’s my only time out in any of my online play. For someone that plays a defensive turtley character (Honda), I fucking hate doing it. I’ll wait for them to come to me sometime, but I’d rather lose than wait it out. I should probably work on that. I might have subconciously picked Honda to deal with runaway Akumas because I got so tired of them. Air fireball=free headbutt.
Ah, I play as Chun so it wasn’t me. I usually never taunt, but I just really wanted to try it out. Waiting for time to expire with a life lead doesn’t seem like a bad strategy, if only to force the other guy to come at you where you should be at an advantage.
Finally a man who knows what he’s talking about in this thread.
Just cuz you cant get past a guy’s defense doesnt mean they are scrubs. You are the scrub for not being able to get in. Sim rushdown will get you many wins i swear!! L2Play
Contrary to what I see in a lot of videos, I turtle hard(I play Ryu) against good Dhalsim players if I can get a life lead. I often see good players get off to good starts against Dhalsim, but then they ultimately lose even when having a big lead because they try so hard to finish the match and give the Dhalsim player exactly what he wants.
When I have the opportunity, I’ll rush down Dhalsim as much as I can. But once he escapes, he can float around and throw those long limbs as much as he wants for all I care. I’m not going to work my ass off trying to get in on him again, it’s his job to try and retake the lead from me. Dhalsim is the one match up where I actually want to win by time out by turtling because I feel no shame in it like I may feel against other characters.
