Lesson of the day: Never say " OOH AH !" to the police.
Hell make you do a breathalizer test. lol
This needs to be Chris’s avatar.
I hope the restaurant I go to after our match accepts your dignity as valid currency
Josh has decided to redo his stick in all white with a red ball top and buttons. Does anyone have any for sale? I asked Jacob if he sold the 6 he said he had and I am waiting to hear back from him. He also wants to change out the actual joystick (apparently he doesn’t like how it feels anymore) so I am looking for one of those too. He wants all sanwa parts. Will that website that Tim gave me have an all white plexi? I went to look at it the other day but their site was down for maintenance. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.
So are we, because the South doesn’t really coordinate tournament dates.
BG crew will be at GG around 330-4 today. leave soon.
What do you guys typically play at Fight Night?
I did not find the door for it yet. I will look through ball tops.
Don’t start firing those shots unless you’re taking up the job.
AL and GA stuff is generally (not always) planned more in advance than TN stuff. Also, most everyone’s small tourneys are planned for locals anyway.
Revival was already planned before the Dolls TN tournament. We’ll have split groups for those I’m sure.
Josh’s mom (Crystal?),
I can help out with product links and stuff. I have 6 red buttons and a red balltop around the house somewhere, too.
As for the stick part, the spring may just need to be tightened.

Spin the bottle.
KOF, SFxT … uh, probably one Marvel 3 set up. You can convince someone to play 3s or Eugene to play Marvel 2 if you want.
Seeing that there’s a tourney for SFxT makes me want to learn it. I always like “first” tournaments. Anyone in Cookeville gonna be playing it tonight?
I wasn’t firing any shots. I don’t see how things can be said to be planned more in advance when monthlies are usually held on the same number week of every month. Milln’s tourneys are always the last Saturday of every month, while Jason usually throws one in the second week of the month (at least, he was doing it for a while).
It’d be much more organized to collectively run monthlies. We host one month, Bama hosts the next month, and GA hosts the month after that. Then, the smaller local tournies or fight nights still have three weeks to do their thing. We’d all be getting more numbers then.
my wife got some bad medical news today, I’m staying home tonight. we don’t really know what the deal is until next week and it’s going to be a bunch more doctor appointments and stuff until we know for sure what’s up but its not life threatening at least
I have a JLF spring laying around if he needs one.
Maybe the numbers would increase, or maybe people would only go to 1/3 as many tourneys.
I don’t handle much of any organization beyond being a messenger
I couldn’t throw our “local” tourney for March the second week because of Final Round/March Madness.
The March 24 one we have is merely for locals, we aren’t advertising it to out of towners and again, not everyone is able to drive 5-6 hours to Birmingham from Bowling Green/Cookeville/Memphis, etc.
The “big” tournament we have is the Apr one. If it falls on the ATL Revival date let me remind everyone they have no problems running tournaments ON OUR DATE (MWC last year) when we announce 6 months in advance, etc) ATL Revival has tournaments all the time and we don’t really send people there and rarely does ATL ever come here. Therefore to me it is not conflicting.
We will continue to do small bi-monthly, Milln’s monthly, BIG bi-monthly. Keep in mind our tourney and milln’s are COMBINED next month, so there should be no issue as to dates/tournaments, etc.
I am sure you all know most of the places in the mall are closed so we need all the help we can get but honestly there are enough tournaments to go around, I just think the big “regional” ones we have to figure out, etc.
I, and whomever else, only advertised B’Ham for Nashville people that wanted KOF or Marvel. I don’t normally head to Revival, and a tournament is a tournament to me. I’ll pick the closest one with what I want to play, lol.
RCR is the closest thing to be advertised that accidentally became a little regional here. It originally was just going to trade off every other month with B’Ham and be more of an AL thing.
shrug
Yeah, and I didn’t want you to think I was pointing out just Alabama as being disorganized. It was more of “the South as a whole” isn’t as cohesive on tourney dates as it could be.
