You’ve been going on for years about this regardless of him going there…I mean, this won’t take place because you won’t set foot out of Memphis so my “argument” is that he has to physically go down there because you won’t leave the place regardless of him saying he would go there, etc.
You should not have any say it what gets played unless you are willing to make the drive. I know he’s offered to even pay your way out here and you declined awhile back so if anything is “null and void” is you having any say about what gets played…I mean I really don’t know why this match is taking place to be honest…I think it’s attention grabbing for absolutely no reason but that’s all you guys…
Yeah I feel you I know we would all like to be able to do much more to promote this but as always money is an issue… I will call the small local paper, I cant think of the name of the one I always see at work, and hit them up and just see what the prices look like for like a month or so of advertising for a decent sized space.
Assuming its not mad expensive maybe I can see what I can do to help out cause I think that would bring in more people and also serve as promotion for the arcade so double win.

It just sucks that a good internet connection is not possible at the venue cause streaming the event would have been pretty awesome but again we are talking about expenses and from what I remember you saying getting it hooked up was not possible, unless something changed recently…

I mean I guess somehow I am considered ‘Cookeville’ now but I’m as far as fighting games go I’m as Nashville as anyone else. At least as I see it. So the better player between you and I is still TBD imo. I just nominated Jake because I feel he’s the best in MidTN right now.

I agree with arson 100% he deserves a shot at the spot. i mean honestly guys look at how well he performed overall at this past tournament. I think ya should figure it out on how ya wanna do it. i mean lets be realistic for a sec here. marcus and rell are dead given spots. and i have to agree with mike i think bishop and sev should play for 3rd spot so therefore that would leave 2 open spots for any other tn player to snatch. i think it’s more fair that way so that the whole team wont be just memphis lol and arson u dont have to be nashville to be on the team anyways because its a state vs state match as posted on the tournament thread. so yea you guys fight it out for the last 2 spots and sev and bishop can fight it out for the 3rd spot, although sev did win the last tournament bishop was consistent in top 4 on all the kof tournaments he did enter thus far so yea i think they should fight it out for spot 3.
Now as far as amount of money i personally think it should be 20 per player to make it more interesting but it’s up to you guys. Oh and we will stream this 5v5 as well.
Also i’m really considering renting the suite for saturday night so we can have ppl come in and we can run grudge matches,mm’s 5v5’s etc. They did tell me they would discount rooms for those attending MBB but i need to find out again exactly by how much. Of course i will only rent the suite if ppl are willing to help with the cost cause that shit wont be cheap lol. Just a though…this event is gonna cost me quite a bit of money and i may make most of it back but def not all but this is a start for big events here in memphis and needs to happen and if this event does well which i know it will then i can guarantee sponsorship for the next event. so the success of this event will determine if i get the ok for sponsorship for following events so let’s rock!!!
On another note Dax will be in charge of recording the mystery game and any mm’s and other 5v5’s that may happen. the kof 5v5 will be on the stream. I also got confirmation for my high stakes mvc2 money match that was supposed to happen at the last t&g so now it’s been moved to MBB. still confirming amount but it will probably be 250 or more for sure. Welp time to order my new p360 stick and parts and get back to training lol
I don’t typically look at exactly how matches go to determine who is best. It is overall consistency, I think. As far as it goes, Pat is considered by you and like, I’m sure plenty others to be definitely better than me… But I haven’t lost to him in tournament. I’m not better than him, some people just beat others or I’m just pulling wins out of my ass because there hasn’t been that many tournaments. All I’m saying is, everyone is close and I don’t have a constant list of who I think is best. Even if I did, this game is still young. Someone can show up with shit nobody can deal with, or show up and just have leveled up considerably at any time. Anything can happen and matches between the top area KOF players can go any way. All of my recent matches have been close, win or lose… Cept Sev last game losers finals shutting me out hard for trying to OCV him with Iori LOL. I would love to play a set with Jake but I think we should just let a full mid-tn only tournament or two decide, or the highest placers from mid-tn in one or two tournaments.

I still like the idea of multiple 3v3 teams. Makes it more fair and no one feels left out. I fully believe that I am just about with everyone else but I know that with however it works right now people like me and Zach and milln would be left in the cold if there was some team selection thing along with people in Memphis who wouldn’t be able to compete who have also been training their asses off.
