Kin: Easy characters is kind of a misnomer in Tekken as the easiest Tek char is going to be much harder than anything your used to from a 2d fighter. That being said Bob/Lars/Bruce are three good “easy” characters to learn. One thing to remember is the char with the fewest moves has like 70 and its Wang. Lee isnt that hard either IMO at low/mid level its higher up it gets worse. Harder chars to use are Baek/Lei/X/Hwo as they all have multiple stances and tricky shit

I played Josh online some and even though it was really really laggy I wouldn’t entirely bet on him.
Nah, man. I can get ether forward or back dash with bison just tapping the button as quickly as I can and releasing, then mashing the shit out of whatever dash I want to do. It’s easier to tell it’s happening with Raven because the 2 in 1 to wind cross is so slow, there’s pretty much no way it could be some kind of overlapping inputs. I honestly think they just gave some characters’ charge moves the ability to dash out of the first few frames. I cant get Ryu to do it out of his hadoken to save my life, or Ken’s tatsu for that matter but Raven’s is super easy and Bison’s can be done somewhat less easily, but I think that’s the reason he backdashes every once in a while during that trial. Just doing naked scissor kick, I can tap the button super quick then go for whatever dash, back is the easiest of course but a quick double tap of forward without my finger on the button still nets a forward dash.
Edit: been testing other characters, looks like Rolento can do it too, with as little difficulty as Raven.

Amen to this. It’s like learning a new language. I knew it was getting bad when I was learning King’s grab chains and daydreaming about the inputs and you know how every button= a limb?
Well I started realizing that I could almost predict certain chain grab inputs from the animation, both legs, left arm, right arm, both arms = rear chickenwing grab. I know that’s prolly not 100% accurate but that was how my thought process was going.

Nah man the combos in tekken are a breeze for the most part depending on the character. The hard part is everything else. Some characters such as Lili do have QCF moves btw
