See this is why I’m skeptical of MLG:

• Commercials after every single match. Really? I know you need the money but come on, this isn’t SC, matches don’t take 20 minutes.

• The elitism…the top SC players get easier pools, sit in a special VIP section, and get food fucking catered to them (check Skisonic’s twitter). As opposed to FGC, where top players can come into your room, chill, play a bit, etc. SC fans literally don’t even get to meet the players, forget about playing against them.

• What will happen to community events if esports takes over? A lot of top players aren’t there because NCR is this weekend also. Will everything just be MLG?

I can’t argue with the payouts and viewers though…Still…I feel if esports takes over Final Round for example, it won’t feel NEAR as fun, raw, or exciting. Even this year, Larry had to discourage money matches because of sponsors being there. Like seriously? Money matches should be ENCOURAGED. It’s really fun to watch. If I was watching KoF for the first time right now I’d be bored to tears.
