Hey all you Temecula peeps!! I’m thinking of throwing a “Temecula peepz only” tourney soon to determine who’s gonna take over Bill’s “King of Scrubville” title :D… I think tourney would be like on a Saturday, probably the 21st or something… I wanna play you peeps extensively…
i’ll go if it’s the 21st. can’t do it the next weekend though. just name the time you want me to beat yo ass down and i’ll be there.

nice! im way down for a tournament. Looks like APEX points are being reset sometime soon so we can get off to a good start. I would definitely like to see whos gonna be the Bill replacement for a while. Now i really got a reason to practice with sentinel.

I will be at the arcade tomorrow at 5 PM until around 6:30 to 7:00ish, so if anyone would like to play me, that is where I will be. I saw Josh earlier today and he said he will be there. I want to see if you guys can get me a win streak higher than 30. Sonny and Matt, tomorrow I will show you some cool stuff with my Magneto against your Sentinels. Rush That Shit Down. ;]

Sent’s Frying Pan is your best friend against Magneto. When he gets in range, smack him down or make him block. Bill usually blocks this, unless he wants to lose his Magneto pretty quick… The good thing is, you just warded off some crack-crazy Magneto off of you for like a second; he’ll more than likely resume the same tactic again (RTSD) unless you can nullify his Magneto.

MASH OUTTA THE DAMN FUCKING HYPERGRAVxxTEMPEST!!! Yes, you can mash out of it, and this helps A LOT so Bill has to rely on infinites more often to do some damage. Unless he does an unmashable on your ass, mash all HGxxTempest attempts. Hell, I can mash out of his shit constantly… If I can, any scrub can…

Block high when Bill’s Magneto is in the air, and block low when Bill’s Magneto is on the ground. (Thank god Magneto has no overheads, or else he’ll be practically impossible to beat…)Pushblock often (while blocking, tap both punches) to give you some breathing room against Bill.

Use AAA’s wisely against Bill. If he’s got Storm behind Magneto and has 2 levels when you call out an AAA randomly, say hello to a Frame-Kill Hailstorm and massive pain.

Use Flight mode often if you’re good enough (like me) to use it. But since some of you guys aren’t as good, stay off Flight mode unless you want to give Bill your 50 cents…

If you get killed in a corner, watch out for guardbreaks. Pushblock that sucker if he tries to guardbreak you; Bill’s fairly inexperienced in guardbreaking someone who pushblocks often. (Unless he learned how to change his attacks on reaction, then you’re fucked when he gets you in a corner:))

If all else fails, try something drastic, like pressing Bill’s start button, hitting on his girlfriend if he brings her, anally raping Bill, knocking Bill out, or whatever :lol:.

John: You’re going to UCI, right? Don’t worry, there’s some peeps at UCI that are pretty good, and go to SHGL lots of times. To be honest, in a year from now, I can see you beating Bill constantly because you’re closer to SHGL than he is (IF you decide to go to SHGL constantly, that is…). Some guy on this board named KaiSing goes to UCI, and he’s kinda alright for a Strider/Doom player… Find him, and you’ll be able to beat Bill constantly…
Everyone else: Tourney at Saturday, September 21st. Depending on number of Temecula-only peeps that show up, (I’m guessing there’s 5-6 of ya there, not too sure…) I’m thinking of doing a Round-Robin tournament, where everyone plays everyone to see how well they do against each other… Best of 3 Round Robin is what I’m proposing… No entrance fee, cuz we’ll be blowing like $3 worth of quarters or more to do this whole thing. This way, we can determine a true successor to “King of Scrubville”.
Sonny: If I don’t have a ride on Saturday, do you think you can give me one?
Oh, and do any of you guys have 3rd Strike (burned or not)? I’m looking for a copy of that damn elusive game and can’t find shit… Holler if you got a copy and are willing to part with it :D…

Well u guyz pretty much know were everyone standz, skill wise. Why don’t u organize something like big meet at TILT or something. A tournament would be a waste of time and money…Just a suggestion.

well, not necessarily where EVERYBODY stands. i haven’t played against TGS yet, and i’d love to see who’d come out on top. there’s also some other people too. so, the tourney might be a good thing. i don’t know, just my opinion. yesterday, i got stuck playing against the freaken comp…it was so lame. you guys SUCK for showing up late!

I might just drop the whole Round-Robin thingy and just throw a Double Elimination tourney, since the Round-Robin is too costly and takes forever… Depends on the number of peeps that show, it’ll probably be a $1 entrance fee, winner takes all… C’mon, you Temecula peeps! I probably won’t be able to make the Saturday tournament but if I have the time, and I don’t have anything else to do, I will show up and beat you all down for free. But, the chances of me making it are very slim, I will be moving into my dorm room at UCR but I don’t know the exact time I will be doing that yet, so we will see. As for who will win the thing, I have absolutely no fucking clue. You all are at such a similar level that it can go anyway. Anybody has a chance to win it, Sonny, Brendon, Matt, Carlos, anyone. But, whoever does take it will be the temporary champion of the Tilt, until someone else wins the tournament.

Ive never played in a fighting game tournament B4 so im not quite sure as to how teams work. Are we allowed to pick different teams for each round that we play or will we have to stick with just one team? I wanna know so i can start practicing with either a single team or a couple diferent teams. Anyways, COUNT ME IN:evil:
alright, i’ll bust out a strider/doom match against you, brendon. but mine isn’t that good. i’m debating either strider/sent/doom, or strider/cyke/doom. both are so good.
looks like this tournament is gonna turn into one big strider/doom battle. maybe ill try my hand against both of you with my own Doom team.
Simplified rules of tournament:

Pick any team you want per round. But if it’s a best 2 of 3, let’s say you win the first match with Strider/Doom/Sent :D. The person you beat has priority to switch teams, while you’re stuck with the same team for the next round. Let’s say your team (S/D/S) got beaten by M/S/P. Then you get to switch teams, since you got beaten. This continues on until whoever gets best 2 of 3. Then winner moves on to another round, and the whole thing repeats with you choosing whatever team you wish to.

No Gambit Glitch, Ruby Heart Glitch, or BB Hood/Venom glitch. Those freeze the game to the point of it being unplayable and thus results in you being disqualified from the whole tourney. Any other so-called “glitches” like Juggernaut Power-Up glitch is still fair play, since the game is still playable.
So in general, don’t be an ass during the tourney; don’t bitch or whine if you get beated fair and square. But I know you guys don’t bitch unless it’s against Bill :lol:. Oh, and it HELPS GREATLY if you know how to use different teams for different situations… The more teams you’re good with, the more situations you can counter, and the better your chances are in winning the tourney.
Sonny: Tell me if you’re able to gimme a ride on Saturday, so I can know definitely if I can ride from you or not…
man, honestly, that’d kind of suck. it’d be cool to see who’s better, but i don’t know. if i get pissed off, i’d do my felicia/storm/doom team against your strider/doom’s.
