The Tekken 6 Thread - December 08 for PS3 JPN port, no info on US/World

You mean d+4,4. =p

Sorry for the scrub questions, but…
Haven’t tested the combos writen down that I got from tekken zaibatsu, but I’m still unfamiliar with most of Dragunov’s normals and pokes. So with that said, wondering if you guys can answer a few questions.

Watching this video here:

 • At 0:41, after the low parry, what combo is that he does to punish the opponent.

 • At 1:34, what is that OTG combo he does after the sweep. And is that his best OTG combo?

 • At 2:10, what throw is that and how do you do it?

 • At 2:44, what combo is that?

 • At 2:49, how do you do that slide? I can’t seem to do it, I thought it was running K, but I get different normals.

 • At 3:28, ah, I’m familiar with this combo (it’s my main BnB), but after the Bounce I’m wondering what are those 2 hits he does and how do you do that stomp move? Normally I would do D+4, 4 but I want to be close to my opponent at all times (unless I wanna bring them to a wall). So just wondering what the combo he does after the Bounce.

I hate walls at the moment seeing as how I don’t know any, but the combos I got from zaibatsu should help me out.

Sorry for being a scrub, but help me out if you guys can =(

at :41, he low parries then does a mid looking move with his left hand, followed by a left punch, left kick, right punch…that translates to df+1, 1,3,2. It’s not hard figuring it out really even if you don’t know the movelist. I believe he follows up with df+3,1 but I’m not sure.

1:34 the otg combo is the one markman posted for you, db+3, cc (or sidestep up) d+2, ws+4, d+4,4

2:10 ff+1+2

2:44 looks like qcf+2, f+4, b+2,1, 1,3,2? someone confirm i don’t know dragonuv

move looks like df+3,1 stomp is d+3+4.

df+1, 1,3,2 B! dash 3,1 dash d+3+4(stomp)
the full chain is 3,1,2, but you can get tech mixups after 3,1

qcf+2, f+4, b+2,1 f+1,3,2(the f is necessary, IIRC) B!, dash d+4,4

WR+3

The post B! is the same as the first combo

Sorry, goof’d on the notation ;(

Still haven’t played T6 lol…

hey kaneda. this is GM from new york. CF still hasn;t got tekken 6 but how is lee in tekken 6 from your standards? do you think i will fair well with him or better then i did with him in DR? thanks for the heads up.

Whoa, awesome! Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I’ve yet to do MarkMan’s OTG combo he posted, just thought the player in the video did something different.

Alright, looks like I’m set for a 3rd run ;o

His ground game is more fleshed out(f+2,1 is probably the best mid range punisher next to AKing’s new f+2,1, and Lee can hit confirm his), but he loses some tricks and shit for others. He can’t launch random crouchers w/b+4 anymore, u/f+4 has lost a little range(most hopkicks have, actually)some of his hitman tricks you actually have to do faster since they’re not as evasive(this may be all in my head), he lost u/f+3+4(I really miss this move), but overall he’s mostly the same.

You can only do shredder kicks by fff+3,4,4 now, he has a double kick kinda like T4 Cossacks out of Mist, and he can’t do ffn3,4 anymore. In a way it’s good and in a way it’s bad, but that’s up to you.

His new strings help his juggles(df+3,2,3 is probably one of the most braindead combo enders, you can use it for wall carry, post-bound, and wall juice; f+4,3 is safe if delayed, NCc, the 3 launches on CH, it’s his other B! move, and it’s the preferred B! after heavy wall splat), and give him a few new bait options. Overall you’ll be fine, just get used to some of the changes. Dragon Slide is still just as good, Silver Tail is slightly worse(but you shouldn’t really be using that), d+3 and the d+4 string hasn’t changed much.

Your mileage may vary, but I like the changes that they gave Lee, and I’m not against the b+4 change because I never felt that move should launch crouchers anyway. lol Longer stun, yeah, but not a full launch. w/e

Haha, thats better for you than him.

god damn it…all this bitching about walls! If this becomes some smash brothers shit and we start stage banning, I am gonna be a very sad man…

I mean seriously, either “Skip school, get better” and learn to work around such things, or go play a different game.

GG’s to whomever was at mgl last night, Mgl will soon be getting sf4  Hopefully

Seeing as how I’m getting real good feed back here, I need some advice on Dragonuv.

So what are some good pokes and mix-ups with this guy? I talk to one of the Houston dude’s that hit up Austin and he gave me some really nice advice on how to play Dragonuv (so I’m a little better/smarter now).

The thing I lack are safe block strings (or good ones, anyways).
So other than B+4, 2, 1, what else are some good and safe block strings.

That, and I’m wondering what are some good mix-ups up he has? I seriously don’t know how to mix up with the guy at all other than pausing and doing a throw, but I keep getting throw breaks now =(
Oh, and supposedly there is some kind of move Dragonuv does where he jumps at you and grabs you. People say it looks like some kind of jump attack, only to get thrown. Wondering if such a move exists.

Advice me, please! ;o

Is there an actual release date for the Japanese version yet?

Playasia.com has it up, but no actual release date. Pre-orders will probably be announced next month.

u/f 3+4?

Is that it? Well, only one way to find out ;o
The arcade, tonight!!!

Yea thats it. He jumps up and death grips you with his legs.

Someone over on TZ posted The board price, since it was just announced. No free DL upgrade this time.

DR wasn’t a free upgrade, 5.1 was.

Updates were via dongle and DVD disc though.

Smaller updates were available via network for Tekken 6 and Tekken 5/DR though. (though I’m not sure what changed exactly, mostly tekken net stuff from what I hear)…

for those wondering about a release date, go to tekken zaibatsu, and take a look at the previous game’s release dates. Take a look at the japanese arcade release dates and US console release dates. That should give you a rough estimate as to how long you can expect to wait for a PS3 T6: BR. Me personally, i’m hoping and praying that feb or march '09 will be the US console release date, but i seriously don’t know.
