It would be no where near fun broken like MvC2, at least in MvC2, the high end technical values require effort and execution by the player. MvC2’s brokeness is compensated with a high end lvl learning curve.
Look. You’re confusing terms here.
The game engine is the hardware interaction software on which the game is built around. Unreal Engine is a game engine. Mass Effect and UT3 are built on EXACTLY the same engine. Yet in Mass Effect, you can’t jump. Mechanics like jump (or like bound in Tekken 6) are built on top of the engine.
Do you see where I’m going with this? It would be easy to patch out bound. Or reduce damage, or increase the distance bound sends you - or any one of a plethora of things to you could do to “fix” it. But they don’t want to risk doing something like that straight off the bat because they have no idea what bigger changes will come about as a result of “fixing” bound (particularly whether or not the “fix” obsoletes one of the few gameplay differences between 5 and 6). Small isolated character changes are easy and safe to implement, and are at least a sign that Namco is still paying attention to feedback.
Uh the engine is a substitutable term for the rules the game works in.
They can certainly change it, was it really necessary to nitpick with a 3 paragraph post over a single word that was contextually wrong to a CS major and no one else? He’s saying the rules are flawed ok, jeez.
Did you read the rest of my post? The first three lines of text are the ones that focus on the misuse of “engine”.
All I know that whatever that Nina shit is that takes characters from one wall all the way to the other wall…has got to go. And that i can only imagine what a capable Steve player will do with this kind of “power”. I will be in juggle for fucking ever.
they should just get rid of 3+juggle combos all together. add more parry and side step.
I take it you’ve played and mastered Tekken 6?
How hard is it to do juggles+B+Wallsplat in Tekken6? You tell me, just go and read up the character specifics and what’s being found. Shit’s easy to do, within a week or less, you’d have them down with consistency.
My Uncle currently lives in Japan and is playing/feeding me info about the game and the scene. He’s not even a hardcore fighting gamer at all, and he’s picking up the juggles in Tekken 6 with ease. Even his comments of “Doing 60-80% big ones isn’t difficult”.
So quite honestly, if a person like him who’s got no competitive fighting game history to himself is reeping in the rewards, what does that say to you, or to me, or to anyone else?
T6 is not going to be as well in depth as previous Tekken games.
Probably already been mentioned, but I fully expect the Tekken 6 “DR” upgrade to be downloadable on the PSN sometime after it’s debut on the arcade scene, for a price of course. That and a bunch more customizable packs for two bucks a pop will make people happy.
I’m also sure that Namco will have the game de-infinited, toned down and balanced by the time it’s released for PS3, as well.
www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156143 Though I’m not sure what to believe. Soul Caliber always had plans to go mutliplatform, and sony just bought rights for the third one only. Tekken though? It has only been on Sony since the beginning, and from what people say it runs on Cell/Ps3 hardware or atleast it was built using that. VF and SC were never originally on/started on a sony console, only the sequels were. But tekken did start on Ps1 and DR just came out only for PSN, not XBL and PSN.
Woah! check this vid out

the weirdest thing ever. Ninas df+1 was never broken like that!
I dont know I just thought it was weird. I noticed the same thing with Lei and how the ff+3 is more guaranteed after lets say a ff+2 combo finisher.(http://youtube.com/watch?v=d7Ojh4JlRJQ at 00:26) this game is looking less appealing for some reason. Ill still play it though.
Actually, there was a Tekken on Game Boy Advance…it wasn’t very good.
to address all of the “bitching”…I say wait until the game comes out for the rest of us and then figure out how to work around whatever it is thats bothering you. You all have done it before, I’m sure…so whats to stop you from doing it again?
What the hell am I looking at?
Certain mid attacks hit grounded opponents if they try to move. As far as I can tell, just about everyone has a move like that. This isn’t new to Tekken.
One half bonus stage, one half pissed shemale robot.
from DUK @ TZ
ADDITION I FORGOT TO ADD.
There is this bot character called “Nancy” during arcade single play mode.
Comes out on bonus stage. It’s big in size and his lifebar is HUGE!.
I guese it’s really different from jap version. maybe internationl bonus?
or new patched version?
About “Nancy”.
Comes out on bonus stage.
Whether you win or lose (haven’t seen anybody beat it)
goes on to next stage.
Doesn’t block any moves.
But has huge lifebar (like maybe 10times normal?)
Can’t juggle, attacks even when he’s getting hit.
Missiles, Lasers, etc.
Maybe after you beat him you might get a bonus item??
Nobody has beaten him yet.
They did. They named it Soul Calibur.
Oh, OK. Because I was thinking that they took Jack-6’s customization too far.

Whats “it” doing to Kuma?
yeah I knew about that too. Its just never been that high of a mid attack. With Nina its usually just the df+3, 2(or 1) combo that hit grounded opponents when they try to recover. its never been a high mid move like that df1. same with leis ff3,4
wonder whos top tier so far
