The Tekken 6 Thread - December 08 for PS3 JPN port, no info on US/World

god I want this game so badly. Yoshimitsu looks like a fucking praying mantis

JESUS CHRIST!!! :sweat::sweat:

that after image shit is godly

Yeah, Raven’s new moves. the mirror step or whatever it’s called.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, been out of the T6 loop for a while. Is the December date for the PS3 release for real? Or is that more of a placeholder for the time being? Thanks.

December sounds more like the arcade release in Japan.
I can’t remember if it was or when it was said but I do recall Namco Bandai mentioning something about “Tekken 6 won’t be on the PS3 until AFTER Soul Calibur 4”

SDTEKKEN.COM Update!

14 new scans from Tougeki Damashi Vol. 7! Some new info. A little bit more in depth than the Arcadia Dec. 2007 issue. Also some scans for Tougeki 2007 coverage, EVO2007 coverage, Virtua Fighter 5 Ver. C, Soul Calibur IV, and T5DR. Check it out!

I’ll try to post the pictures ASAP. But off the back!

Graphically, TEKKEN 6 is real fucking CLEAN! Like I always use to complain about the character design and the models for Tekken. But this new engine is quite spiffy.

I only got to play once because I wanted to see the new characters. So when I got to the arcade. I just watched people play on the 2 the Noir Cabinets, (Which are kinda uncomfortable if you are 6’1 or over.) (Simply murder on the knees.)

The Japanese response to T6 it seemed pretty damn good. But not without careful study. With damn near every Japanese player in the Namco Game Center carrying a copy of the Arcadia Magazine with the T6 move list in hand. The shit was serious! It was a new game but the level of noobs at the Test was rather low. So this is how it went down in Shibuya. 2 Noir Cabinets side by side. The best 2 outta 3. And it seemed that everything was on default. If you loss, your wait on SNAKE WAY was like 10-15 minutes to the front of the game center and at one point up the steps. Some matches were quick and other were long and entertaining.

Nuances of T6: That rage meter is serious. I lost to M.Chang. Like I knew she was strong ,but damn her forward lunge attack had that extra, “You better get the fuck off me strength!” So, I will definitely be studying up on the rage meter thing. It puts your whole approach in a new light now. STAGES: Look fantastic! The High Roller Stage is so awesome with the money billowing out the sky and the 2 rich doods in the background are the definition of pimp. It’s a bit deceptive at first glance but there is no wall on that stage. Now what I was worry about was the fact that I didn’t want the stage to kill me in T6 like the stages do in DOA, SSBM, and a couple of other fighters. The stage where the floor breaks and you fall down. I saw some dirtyness that will very well evolve. For Example: Asuka slam where she grabs your face and slams you to the ground. When the floor breaks. Both opponents fall but Asuka can start; What look like to be a small juggle combo afterwards. (I hope there is a way to tech that fall.)

New Characters: Design wise, Zafina aka. “Miss Get Low with It.” is interesting. She has the creepy Voldo approach. Bob: Mr FAT ROCKET! Is fast as fuck! With a Dragon Punch that seem to connect after his Kuma like big throw. Bob is very flashy and his moves seem a bit High Risk but he looks fun to play with. Leo: the VF5 rip off guy. Honestly, I think Leo is whack, but I think she is going be the favorite of the Chang - Jun players. Then the Japan pick of the test!: Miguel aka. “Mr. d/f+2,1 and yo’ ankles is MINES!” A good mix of Speed, Power, and Size! I didn’t know he was gonna be that big! The Japanese Players all over Miguel! And I wish I would have had the chance to play him myself. His juggle seem to track very well and they take you a good distance across the screen. The Japanese players usually play M in a rushdown sense using his d/f+2,1 in mix- ups. But the strange thing is that Miguel has this “laugh.” Where he walks toward you… I thought it was a taunt but it acts as a stance… either that or the opponent was just stupid. So to roll up the new characters of T6 Location Test chosen on popularity:

1st: Miguel
2nd: Bob
3rd: Zafina, Leo

All and all, without getting into the finer points of the game and not diving too deep on the first try. T6 is real Clean! The real abuse will start on 11/26. but for now T6 is full of WIN! Damn. I need a PS3!

That would be cool typically since I’m a rock howard fan myself
