Yeah, but so did Kazuya, Lee, Bruce, Ganryu and Baek.
Lol, sigged.
is that on every attack that causes a slam down? because that seems a bit generous to me, i mean can you imagen heihachi Any launch 1,1, hellsweeps to dragon p, down+1 (floor stick) to whatever, of course distance will come into it and other variables i’m just speculating.
i’m not gonna say it’s rubbish or broken it’s way to early to judge i just hope they execute it well.
Another question is how long does the floor stick or bind last? and what about trying to hit somebody with a low combo starter like for example bryans snake edge or ganryus DB+2? surely no relaunch. i bloody hope not
Tag, 5.0 AND DR disagree with you.
Yes, but I’m pretty sure Jae will still disagree with you, TTT, and all versions of 5.
From what I can tell, unless this is a new state with its own properties, during “bounce” it still considers the character to be in the air. So any effect that would normally happen on an airborne opponent would presumably happen during bounce, with the exception of another bounce (which just produces the old KD animation). So a ground launcher probably wouldn’t work but a floater (like Bryan db+2) might.
Remove 5.0 and your good.
I say that TTT was the best Tekken. They only reaosn I play DR is because I like “karate” Jin more that “Mishima” Jin and I like the new moves they gave Kaz.
For those who haven’t seen it the is in this video.
Didn’t they not change or totally remove db+2 and d+3,2? if so i guess we know why now
Did they? I hadn’t heard that one.
Tekken 5 is growing on me - but I still say this overall game mechanic is way too stiff, especially when compared to easier-to-pick-up Namco offerings like Soul Calibur. Before the flame attack ensues, I want to specify what I mean by that statement - there’s a tendency for one move to not naturally combo into another, as it would with Street Fighter or Soul Calibur. The fact that you have to input the entire combo command, or you’re just standing there, reeling from a lengthy single punch animation, hurts the game’s overall fluidity. If they can fix that, I’ll be picking up Tekken 6. Without those changes, though, I see this game as one step above Dead or Alive.
Gamefaqs is that way. :r:
Man…Tekken Tag…those were the days. That was the main game I played when I couldn’t find anyone to play 3S with (cuz everyone thought 3S was terrible back then). Used to walk to the bowling alley near where I lived to play it all the time. Even if no one was playing just to feel good about beating the game and listening to the soundtrack. I definitely never got anywhere near skilled at the game. My best Jin combo involved a juggle into a 10 hit combo that didn’t really juggle. I learned the typical laser cannon juggle that everyone uses with Jin but that’s bout it. I was terrible otherwise. It just happened that everyone at the arcade was that much more terrible.
Then Tekken 4 came out and started to get into that. Tekken Tag was still a bit popular in the arcade (and the arcade near me didn’t replace the Tag machine) so I still played Tag when I could. I actually preferred Tag for the most part but liked 4’s stages and the fact that it just felt different. Overall I had a love hate relationship with 4. Sometimes I liked it…sometimes I wished it was more like Tekken Tag. This was also during the time where I really liked playing DOA and even tried to play it competitively. Soon realized that was a futile attempt when it became obvious that no matter how much I liked the game…there was no way the game would ever get taken seriously competitively. At least not in the way that Tekken or SF was.
Tekken 5 was cool and all. Didn’t have any problems with it. It basically was a bit of what I liked about 4 and a bit of what I liked about Tag and then just threw in some new shit like costumes and what not. It was a good balance of the new and old for me. Just never got into it seriously though. By the time it came out 3S was already out on the PS2 and as soon as 3S hit the PS2 I knew for a fact that I was going to be spending all my time looking to get good at 3S. All of a sudden 3S becomes the most popular 2d fighting game in the US and the rest is history.
Too lazy to go to the arcades to play DR. Dont have my own car right now so that doesn’t help. Probably not gonna get a PS3 so…so much for looking to get good at T6. VF5…we’ll see what happens. VF was the first 3d fighting game I really got into since I was a big Sega fan back in the day. When everyone else had Playstations I was the guy who wanted a Sega Saturn because I thought Virtua Fighter was super cool and hoped a good Sonic game would eventually come out on it. Kept me from playing a lot of good PS games for a while but a lot of good 2d fighting games came out on the Saturn so it wasn’t all that bad. Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighters Megamix definitely have a big place in my heart. Those were good times.
Well, at least you’re not a braindead fanboy.
lol Or, have you peeped any of the threads on the gametrailers.com forums? Holy fuckballs Batman, they are truly the retards of the internet, and that’s quite the feat.
d+3,2 does not carry in juggles like it used to. The 2 part of the string knocks back with a new punch.
taken from SDTEKKEN, i got it half right
db+2 must be different to, i cannot see them keep it the same seeing how it gives you the same effect no matter what stun you get hitting mid to. if not you can imagen what might be possible any launcher 1,1, d+2 (or b+1) (floor stick) db+2, 1whatever.
Of course i’m just speculating having not seen DB+2 yet or any information about that said move, well just have to wait and see, bryan does look alot more interesting in tekken 6 though
LOL. The Tekken fanbase was probably the main reason Kazuya even came back. I read quite a few articles back in the day mentioning how Kazuya came back in T4 due to popular demand. Even though in the story he was supposed to be done and out. People liked Jin but they liked Kazuya hella still. Tekken Tag was like the dream match event to bring everyone back but apparently that wasn’t enough. Just goes to show that the fighting game community really doesn’t care about story THAT MUCH. We want our characters. People to this day still wish Guile and Sagat were in SF3. Capcom was hella bold to even make such a daring move as make a SF game without those classic SF2 characters. God knows how they would have survived if Ryu and Ken weren’t put in the first game.
agreed
Kazuya forever. Jin can never replace him.
