It looks pretty official, but it is kind of ridiculous. I don’t think they really even need another joke character. What is his fighting style even going to be? Maybe they will make him an uber joke character and have all his moves be shitty versions of the other character’s moves.
It really does look like they wanted to make him like a fat lazy white anime nerd or something. The fact that they named him Bob seems like it would be just that.

I agree with whoever says he is going to be the new Mokujin.

1. There’s no Mokujin in the game yet, and I recall NamcoBandai said there was only one more character to show, and that’s ended up being Bob.
2. The rest of the characters obviously have their own moves. Miguel, Leo, Zafina are all original fighting styles.
3. A good 75% of the moves shown on that pic I recognize from other characters. The most obvious are Nina’s db+3+4 and Lili’s uf+4. The uppercut looks like Marduk’s, one of the punches on the right looks like Jin’s, etc. Also I think the “belly” move is actually one of Zafina’s moves which was in the first trailer.

I love the complete and utter lack of outrage from SRK. I’m not sure what Namco expected to accomplish with Bob but I’m damn sure it probably wasn’t 100% immediate approval.
