Umm, wow, I’m liking pretty much every single change made so far, except for the gimped Paul part, since I’m a Paul player.
EDIT Just got done reading the whole thing, some thoughts:
-Faster movement/side-steps sound very good.
-Same for strict juggle timing and lower combo damage in general.
-Less jab, jab, jab combos are a welcome addition in my opinion, even though it might gimp a few of my characters, that just means I’ll have to switch up.
-From all the impressions, the game seems like it looks a lot better then people give it credit for, or screen shots are being able to let out.
-I don’t care what people say, I think universal 10 frame jabs seem like it’s going to be a welcome addition to the game indeed.
-So the two "?"s in the corners ARE randoms, which means we need to two more characters. One will probably a new mimic character(or maybe Mokujin again?), and someone brand new.
Over-all, I’m very impressed and so, so, soooo hyped for this.

Yo after seeing Law in action, I’m a muh fuggin believer in what they were saying about him. New Law looks BEAST. I love the MUCH MORE Bruce like movements. I’ve got a new staple character it seems.
And once again it seems like Jack has been toned up and he’ll be alot like where he was in DR. Kudos for making Jack playable over time Namco.
Just reading through all the stuff I missed. All I got to say is “wow” this game is sounding decent. Some of Bryans new moves look buff. Can’t wait!!!
I pray that Namco does away with the mimic character.
Man, T6 is going to own if there isn’t a rigid top tier(fingers crossed). Law looks TITE. Namco needs to stop, I can’t play with so many characters seriously.
Bruce, Steve, Dragunov, Lili, and now fucking MIGUEL?! Sheesh.

I play 7 chars seriously and 15 total overall in DR. Stop crying and step your game up. =p
doesn’t look like much has changed w/ nina. but DC looks hella fast now.
Ugh, I just really wish they’d remove the flaming hands and just let the health bars blink to let you know that Rage is on, looks silly to me. After watching a few more vids I can safely say that I might pick up Law when this comes out, he looks sick.

Judging by the match vids I’ve seen so far, the new Rage system doesn’t look like it will break the game. More or less, it looks like an automatic Netsu for someone getting their ass beat.
From what I’ve seen, it hasn’t given anyone a clear cut advantage and I can tell it’s somewhat of a comfort zone for the losing person and it’s usage seems reliant on skill and smart tactics to make a comeback than something that can be abused.
As for the game playing like a hybrid of DR and TAG, my nut has busted at the thought of it. Nerfing all juggles and pretty much all combos in particular will make for a more balanced game (DR’s air juggles needed some serious toning down).
i just hope the damage reductions are not quite as stupid as t4 was…
From the vids, it seems similar to T3,T4, and TTT but that’s not taking rage system into account. Low damage will certainly please the hardcore TTT players. I myself kind of like of the high damage in the T5 series. It doesn’t seem too broken since you get 3/5 rounds.
ttt and t3 have imo much less damage reductions then 4 had
What it seems like it’s boiling down to is the juggle system will make you have to be more creative. Jab jab jab jab is technically doable but now it’s not nearly as practical anymore and in some cases no longer possible. Takes alot of the “cheese” out of juggles. I still saw Jack and Law doing some nasty shit although it just doesn’t extend to retarded and unconsequential extra hits.
Just time to step ya’llz game up. Basically.

The flaming hands does look kind of stupid, they should just make it like each character’s supercharge or something at most.
Law’s new animations are pretty sweet, but he is still orthodox which is bullshit. But I guess it would be weird playing a southpaw character.
The new changes make me scared, but I will welcome them. I just hope they won’t do too much because a lot of DR actually works out.
I love logic. How would this same boxer be able to lift that bear off the ground with a simple uppercut? How would you be able to interrupt one of its swipes by punching faster?
What’s funny is, that bear has been able to jab as fast as the boxer since T4.
