They need to cut one of the Kings and either Eddy or Christie, methinks.
Eddy and Christie are almost like perfect palette swaps. Aside from hearing that Eddy just has longer limbs, it would be nice if they were a bit more different like King and AKing.
Wow, didn’t expect that much new shit from all at once, definitely liking what I’m seeing so far. Graphics look very nice in my opinion, since now they no longer look like a small upgrade from Tekken 5DR.
36.000 $ for the deluxe arcade cabinet. Holy crap, this is crazy O_O Anyway, Tekken 6 looks dope, man I hope this game is gonna kick ass.
They each have their own throws too. I’m pretty sure people play eddy still because of the longer limbs.
It would seem Armor king in his DR form is just a shittier King in most aspects.
[EDIT] My opinion of the graphics has changed since seeing the Kaz v Devil Jin pics. It does look really good. The lighting in particular is superb.
That Juila pic looks like she’s doing corkscrew blow :lol:.

The hit effects look like rpg magic graphics (which I like)

Yeah, I agree. I actually was enjoying looking at the pictures and there were a lot of them. Sweet.
When does location testing for this game start and where?
It looks like the “item specific” moves are just joke moves, like taunts, sorta like christie’s 1,3,4 (?cmd?) the hand wave.
Edit: Just read the tekken blog again, and from the people who played at the show, the item moves are all just joke or taunt moves at least so far.

Was that Marduk hitting someone with a blunt object like a home-run hit? I’m a little skeptical with the usage of items but that was tight as hell.
I thought Rage will be more like Netsu in TTT… but if it’s going to be a low lifebar deal like it’s being described as… on paper it spells bad design IMO.

I have mixed feelings on this. It’ll be nasty if you’re winning, and get random low crushed by a raged hop kick into death and then it’s a wrap. It’s a wrap for that ass. That’d be really nasty actually.
“Rage” mode does make me a little nervous, but it’s not too bad. It’s not like it hasn’t been done in a fighting game before, and done successfully. As long as it’s well balanced, I’ll be fine. The item attacks also sound a bit sketchy, but if they are mainly just joke stuff, again, it’s all good. I’m more excited than nervous about this game. DR has become one of my favorite 3D fighters out there, and if Namco keeps going in that direction, I’m all for it.
If they make rage mode so that there’s actual consequences to using it (assuming that you have to activate it when your life is low) then it’d be good. I’m hoping for something like taking block damage or not being able to block at all or something along those lines. There’s gotta be a downside to the damage bonus
