The Tekken 6 Thread - December 08 for PS3 JPN port, no info on US/World

TRUTH! I’m just patiently waiting to play the game for myself, I’ll leave all the stats and other meaningless crap to those that wish to dwell on such things.

New pics… www.sdtekken.com

Graphics have gotten ALOT better from when I first saw it. Leo is trying to be King, Miguel is ALL roided up so all you people who complain about metro sexual characters can just shut the fuck up and always pick Miguel.

on that note, you have no argument…

ah, but they do well to express the “quality” factor of them…

No, they just express(and control) how the mainstream sees the game. The majority of them go to fighting game forums and just copy and paste the dominant opinion of the game. Every fucking time I read a Virtua Fighter review they are quick to say it’s the deepest 3D fighter. And even though I tend to agree, you KNOW that they’d start umming and ahhing if you asked them what’s so deep about VF.

If you want roid power, paul is in with that as well as craig.

Miguel looks fuckin cool now. Cant wait to see his style.

Even more truth. I think it’s deep, but I don’t think it’s the “deepest”. Only real fact you can come up with about VF is that it was the first 3d fighting series.

I think Fighting games as a whole are as “deep” as they are “Perfect”, and if you take that too seriously, you’ve already missed the point.

Uhhh no. There are factual things like how there’s a counter to a counter and the game doesn’t degenerate into turtling and escaping throws on reaction. Things like how the game (at high levels) is more than who can bait the best. If you really think the game is called deeper because of popular opinion you got a lot to learn about it.

LOL true story:rofl:

Boy did I call it on that one. I know about VF’s nuances. The point is, one game is deep for its own reasons, and another one is deep for its own reasons. VF and Tekken (FOR EXAMPLE) do not play the same, therefore, “Depth” is in the eye of the beholder on that one. Therefore, its stupid to just come out and say that VF is the deepest fighter out there, because not everyone is going to see it that way. That was the point I was making…geez.

Yeah this is true. I’m so sick of people even using the term deep, or depth. It’s like some just toss it out there mindlessly without puting thought into it. I also hate the idea that depth = a good fighter. I favor games that are commonly accepted as being “deep” (such as VF), and I still hate this term. I use to be guilty of using it too, I suppose I saw the light a bit back when arguing against it lol.

It’s seriously goten to the point where if someone begins an argument as to why a game is good, with using depth as their argument, I just stop listening all together. I don’t even plan to argue with them or convince them otherwise, I just consider them a lost cause lol.

That all said though  It would however, be fair to say, that VF is the most ‘complex’ 3D fighter out there currently. I don’t see how you could argue against that.

Here is a man that got what the fuck I was saying.

True. Oh Tekken, I still love thee.

I wonder what are they going to do with Paul Phoenix’s storyline. They turned him into a goof in Tekken 5, LMAO!!!

“Bring it on ya’ aliens!”

Graphics look nice but I would love to see it in action. I am kinda tired of jin winning the tournament millions of times, lol.

Miguel look like a mixture of The Artist Formely Known As Prince and a bear.

Now seeing those pics, I recant a past post of mines a couple of pages back that he looks like Luis Sera from RE4. He looks like Antonio Banderas.

Everyone’s cheering about what Namco said about Law’s playstyle…I will laugh my ass off if Law’s new, “more accurate depictation of Jeet Kune Do” style has him playing like Maxi: p…k…pk and so on.

1inch punch for the muh fuckin win doe. I think they mean they’ll have Bruce’s mannerisms more down this time. Who WOULDN’T want to play as a digital representation of Bruce Lee (shitty OGXbox game aside of course)?

Well I’ve never had a complaint about Law in any of the Tekkens, I’m sure he’ll be alright in 6

About 24 characters shown for T6.

Alot of the cast has returned. Christie is back,
