io: The first track was SICK. That one was almost as good as early 2000’s trance, which is saying a LOT.
Above & Beyond is one of my favorites, that track was pretty good. I have so many favorites from them that I don’t remember them all. I’ll look more later.

Who’s heading to Nocturnal wonderland?
They changed the name to “Nocturnal festival” instead. As of 2008, I believe? (someone correct me if im wrong) I always thought wonderland sounded a lot cooler. Anybody know why? and this year for the FIRST TIME EVER, they’re opening the speedway-track! for the main stage i believe! (labyrinth) (a virgin venue, never before used at the NOS venue). major plus on that!!! the main stage is gonna be BANGIN with a place like that!
I might go. been in the scene since 2002, started in highschool as sophmore… yeah, reall young, at the age of 15, haha. been going on & off. My last party was EDC 2008, last year. Never been to a nocturnal fest but a couple EDC’s & Monster Massive’s. The people I use to go with, well… are still going, but I don’t talk to them due to drama. (EX and ex-old-friends). They’re barely getting into the scene and its funny as hell.
One of them goes for rolling. Of course rolling is always fun at a rave cause its epic but I can gurantee, that all verteran ravers and anybody whose been in the scene long enough knows that a TRUE raver goes for the music/dj/scene. And rolling shouldn’t be seen as priority, but sadly for some people it is.
now the scene’s been changing big time. Kinda in a bad way too. Getting too commercialized & mainstream, etc. You got all these newbies going for the wrong reasons, for the drugs n shit. It’s gotton lotsa hype from all types of people. Hipsters, scene kids, etc. Lots of hella young iressponsible people too (highschoolers). I bet some of them probably can’t name 3 headliner DJ’s or songs being played thruout the nite, its like they don’t bother to get to know the scene at all but they go cause its “sooo kewll”. rofl. it’s hilarious. We’re all newbies at one time, and had to start off somewhere… but it’s the newbies that act irresponsible & the ones that go FOR the drugs, that make the scene look shitty & bad in the public media.
Anybody hear what happened at HARD SUMMER 2009 recently? How it didn’t go down and was SHUT DOWN, and had the cops n shit take over? Part of it was the staff team not knowing how much people to let in (over-capacity), and part of the blame is on the irresponsibile young kids who were jumping balcony’s going wayy out of control !!! Therefore ruining the night for EVERYBODY, thousands of people. Shame on them, they’re the ones that make the scene look bad!

Back on the nocturnal 09 topic : I wanna go, fuck its expensive! $60 bucks. My cousin got it a few weeks ago at $35 presale but thats because he knew he was going for sure. I always just happen to know last minute depending on ppl. Hm, i’ll see. I kinda miss the scene, even though its much different then it use to be a few years ago
A few years ago, myself and about 5 other people went to TAO. None of them had ever gone to a rave so instead of explaining it to them, I just made them watch Groove.
They fell in love with the movie and the rave. :tup:
