Shoutouts to Sore Thumbs last night, had some good Marvel matches going, some serious Nova technology. Guest appearances by Viper, getting blown up. Smash was fun and loud, didn’t play it, so I wouldn’t know if it was good.
Alittle dissapointed with the SF4 turn out, the owner says he’s open to new ideas, such as opening it up on different days for different games. We had one good setup going, but I think if we had alittle bit more varied competition we’d really get some good numbers and good traffic for that game, as at present its taking a huge backseat to Smash and Marvel.
KOF and 3s was there, but no one really wanted to play it. Well… except for me and the dudes who brought 3s.
I’ll try to bring more shit next Thursday, but I need to eventually go out to St. Pete and see what all the talk is about at Serenity, if I can find someone who knows how to get around St. Pete better then I do and I don’t take this chick out on Sunday, I’ll hit it up.

I know I said I needed a break from the scene to get things done, but this USF crew got me hyped ever since they mentioned ‘Smash’. It’s nice to know people are open minded about that game. I’m assuming you guys use gamecube controllers right? Also, is it Brawl? I’m asking because I never really got into Melee.
I’m still a beginner at Marvel and SF4 was a game I played mostly to get in the scene but if there is setup then I’ll play that too. Please keep the thread updated on when you guys do casuals.
looks like sore thumbs will be a closer gaming spot for me than serenity’s but I’ll hit that spot up once my rides are up to par.
We’re not technically a crew but on Thurs we decided to meet up frequently for Lab time. We have a good 6 or 7 players that play Umvc3 and are legit. Two of them have apartments near USF and said they’re down to host if people wanna get something started.
People play Melee too but mostly brawl. And Hey like I keep sayin it is what it is if people don’t like Smash I just prefer that people don’t bash the game without knowing whats really good with it.
This would be ideal for me as Serenity is 45+ min away and I’m not usually free tues/sundays. Post up whenever u guys are having casuals and I’d def be down.
