I’ll for the most part play any good fighter, but right now i want to put full focus on SCV. i just hope i can stick with the new tech as it rolls out

My issue is that wesker was already an extremely popular, easy, and strong character in vanilla… and then they gave him the shades buff, which imo completely overshadows the ‘nerfs’ he got in ultimate.

I do really hope that they at least undo the throw teching bullshit. As it stands now, if you EVER get hit by a throw, it’s your own fault for not mashing H hard enough, and that is downright retarded from a design standpoint. Yeah (air)throws were kinda dumb in vanilla too, but they also served a purpose in allowing some things like teleports to be punished, and there was a degree of precision needed to make sure you actually got the throw if you wanted it instead of whiffing a j.H and then getting thrown yourself. I can’t wrap my head around what reason they would have to make throws and teching work the way they do in ultimate.

this way it feels moar like baybee fighter iv Awful Edition. just mash throw if anyone gets near you. with the fanbase that capcom has established now, it doesn’t matter how shitty their games are. we’re all going to play them anyways even though we don’t like them. DWI

and if you get in a throw tech battle on the ground, whoever has a command throw wins because they can spin the stick and mash heavy, duh

I think we all need to collectively stop complaining about things and just swallow it (no homo). I know I’ve been one to bash marvel, but ultimately, if you aren’t winning in an
"easier" game, then you aren’t going to win in a harder one. To quote Torrin:

I don’t think Wesker should be majorly nerfed right now, a life nerf when his glasses are off would probably be the only nerf I’d give him at the moment (a la Vega’s mask). That and the throw tech bug.

We all know that Capcom fighters suck nowadays but we still play it because it’s still largely the most competitive. Capcom has to realize with all these new games catering to “beginners” games will be too easy and effortless. Dudes be winning tournaments without even buying the game and shit. (probably already has happened) They also need to stop nerfing the shit out of characters and while simultaneously breaking characters on purpose. The tournament scene needs some sort of consistency so we can all play and practice the same game, I’m sick of these ‘balance patches’.

Yet, people will still tier-whore and that won’t stop no matter how many patches CapCom puts out, you just hope they put effort in the character, IMHO why AE is still slightly more playable than YouMVC3. (Fei Long is pretty much the Wesker of AE). But fuck it, I’m playing both games because I don’t know any better (but honestly KOF 13 is looking pretty good atm)

I’d argue that SF4 has a slightly harder beginner learning curve, but they are both hard to master. In my post I put easier in quotations because some people think Marvel is easier; it wasn’t my personal opinion. Do you win marvel tournaments consistently? Get back to me on that one.

Smash is not welcomed, but KOF we’ve been on that train since it’s release. I play KOF but don’t have the game, it’s good though.
