Glad they fixed the GLITCH. Can’t wait till it comes out, but might as well still play for now, chances are you’re keeping at least 1 of your dudes on a team.
Am I the only one pissed at capcom? $100 for 1 game…again…
They’re gonna keep doing this bc ppl keep dropping the money
Guarantee they do it for SFXTekken
hell yeah poison!!! and thank god for yoshimitsu…i now have a team for this game. that’s all i could have asked for. now i can’t be completely disappointed about no gene or doctor cocktapuss in umvc3
Sometimes glitches of a game create the personality of a game. I think the DHC glitch was one of those glitches. So it’ll be interesting to see what the game looks like without it. It may be a whole different game, instead of a tweaked version.
Changing the what the hud looks is pointless to me. It’s actually kinda ugly, though.
Being able to X Factor in the air could potentially be broken. Opens up different combo and reversal opportunities. Yes, you can stop from being chipped before hitting the ground. That’s good. But there’s much, much more that comes with it.
Of my team of Storm/ Wolvie/ Ironman, I think Storm is the one I have locked in. Without the invincibility of Berserker Slash, my Wolverine would just get exposed. But with his bnb and air throw combo, I know he’d still be good. Changing the DHC would likely not mean they’ll actually change Storm, and I like her now, so she’s good. Ironman may stick around.
Of the 4 new characters they showed, Strider and Hawkeye look interesting to me. Hawkeye was a character they obviously just left off of vanilla MvC3, with Taskmaster having his moves while he’s not in the game. I bet he was almost a finished product when vanilla came out.
None of the 8 leaks look interesting to me, although I may change my mind when I see movesets.
Bitch bitch bitch. It’s the nature of the beast. Tweaking and adding to a game is what the people want. And it’s not new. There is more than one version of every fighting game Capcom makes. They don’t just stick you with a product that needs improvement and move on. That’s why there are Championship Editions and Supers and 2nd Impacts and 3rd Strikes and so on. You have the right not to buy these games. If you’re sure this will be the case, then don’t buy the original.
Im not here to make enemies but you asked for this one sir
1.Im not bitching Im asking…learn to read
2.Because Capcom has been doin since SSF2 doesnt make it right…or is that how logic works in your mind…
3.Youre right I do have the right not to buy, but as an enthusiast I want to keep up with the fighting game world
4.Again im not looking to start wars just wanted to see where everyones mind set was on this decision
I think its a valid concern, I dont think Im complaining. Im not saying the game sucks or may not be worth it. Im just saying that this trend is kind of annoying and if ppl love capcom that much to be offended by it, and cant see that they maybe getting raped then thats their problem.
Jeez you mean to tell me ppl are that sensitive? If so Ill watch what I post but I wont censor myself
I gotta agree about the game update thing. I don’t get why people seem to pull this “Capcom is taking our money” thing. Have you looked around at every other fighting game franchise? They all do incremental updates. Other genres do it too; sports games, FPSes, they all do updates like this all the time. I think people just convince themselves that fighting games are somehow different because in fighting games the core of the game tends to look identical for a few games in a row. Ryu’s model is the same in both versions of MvC3, he might only have 1 new move, etc, so people convince themselves that the game isn’t worth it because at a glance, the roster only increased by 15% or whatever. And on top of that people get this “the game I already got is worthless, why did I buy this” thing instantly upon seeing a new version. You’ve probably had MvC3 since february, and will probably still be playing it pretty close up to November. That’s some 8+ months of playtime… If you don’t think the game lasting you 8+ months isn’t worth your $60, then I don’t even know what to say
Ok I see there are some seriously sensitive ppl here
I dont think that Tekken 5, and Tekken 6 are comparable to MVC3 and UMVC3. Same with KOF, Soul calibur.
If you wanna talk about other genres Im not sure I understand you argument. Take the 2K series for example NBA2k10 looks nothing like NBA2k11. Sure its easy to say that sports games are re-released with roster updates (Madden ) But some actually put time in and release a new game every year(12 months). Those games look and feel fresh(ehhh sometimes).
MVC3 was unfinished(that was obvious when the disk was hacked and other character models were still there) if they wouldve held off the original release date and dropped UMVC3 as the 1st release then we wouldnt be having this argument bc its looking like this is the complete version of the game.
Really 8 months? thats what your money is worth? MVC2 was playable for 10 YEARS.(and still is to some) Im far from rich as college student I want the best bang for my buck all day and 8 months? ehhh we can do better i think.
All Im saying is lets stop settling all the time as gamers, we should as for more from the ppl we so graciously hand our money too
Now it seems as though you know little about video games. These annual games are fresh, but what they do is no different. Sports games try to stuff as many new features in a game from year to year, and when there’s no time, they pull the feature for the next year, earning them dollars. The only reason franchise games (Madden, 2K Basketball, COD) ever feel fresh to me is when I don’t play the current version for the last couple months before the new version arrives. A new feature is simply a tweak, but doesn’t sound as appealing. Yet these adjustments make each game good enough to move from the old to the new. There’s no difference in this and in Capcom’s doings. Saying *2K10 looks nothing like 2K11 *makes you sound like you don’t have a valid opinion. Of course those games look alike. And play alike. And sound alike. No company would abandon a winning formula. Making a very successful game, then completely changing it would be dumb (especially since that’s the complaint people are making with MvC3 being so different from MvC2).
There’s no such thing as a really good game that only has one version. At least not from existing, profitable companies. If there are, I’d love to hear about it.
Ahhh the default “you dont know anything about video games” argument void of any cognitive reasoning
Have played the above mentioned games(2k 10-2k11) if you did you’d know that there was complete revamp of the controls, franchise mode, and they added the entire throwback scene with Jordan challenges, and old school teams became playable (therefor typing what is in the bold clearly shows you are the one who doesnt know anything about games)
There is no game that has 1 version? Really? There are sequels not re-releases unlike what capcom is doing. Plenty of games release sequels to good games (this is what you are referring to) few companies are re-releasing the same game over and over and getting away with it except capcom.
If Im wrong on that let me know…
Other than that this is MY OPINION PPL. I simply asked a question trying to gauge the situation if you dont like just disagree and move on (like kamano at least he can spell and had some reasoning, I respect that)
**A **I said it makes you sound like you didn’t know. It was a dumb statement. Bridging that gap was an assumption you made, not the direction I tried to take it.
**B **That being said, 2K10 and 2K11 still look astonishingly alike. The differences are nuances, tweaks, features. Game still essentially looks and feels the same. They’re not going to make an effort to completely reinvent a working system.
**C **COD looks the same every other year. Every Modern Warfare feels the same. And every opposite year it feels the same. Of course there are tweaks, but this is no different. Rereleasing the same game over and over? Umm, Madden would like a word with you. So many of those games end up being almost exactly the same, except for a feature (tweak) here and there that it’s ridiculous. And they’ve been doing it for longer than any franchise out there. Shit the game is probably as old as or older than you.
It’s your opinion, so, of course, you’re entitled to it. Nevertheless, it’s ass. And, now this is for Chi, that makes you ass!
Its clear you are a capcom drone that will do whatever they say.
Let me guess youve bought every game that has Ryu in it right?
O and I hate COD because you’re right it looks the same every year, they dont get my money either
Whether my opinion is ass or not to an ASS means nothing to me sir bottom line capcom re-released yet another game and im not too happy about that. This was my point from the start. Again if you disagreed you couldve said that about 5 posts ago and moved on with your life. Since this is my opinion of course Im going to defend it as long as you want to go at it
i wish srk would allow me to block certain members posts. i hate sifting through all the pubes to try and find the hole. seriously guys, shut up your suck holes. if you wanna bitch this ain’t the place. and yes, i’m being a hypocrite with this post by bitching about bitching, it is ALREADY noted that i’m wasting a post. for being a forum for fighting games there sure is a lot of pussy ass complaining and drama. the dance game forums have next to none of this crap, really would expect it to be the other way around.
as for the actual bitching of buying a new version of a game or whatever since i didn’t really read any of this crap for 40 or 60 buks a year, try 1500
