Assuming I’m there tonight, as I expect to be, I won’t be playing any MK. Gotta square up for the RR. Plus, I don’t have the game, and don’t wanna play at least without some type of basics.
Tonight should be another blast, though.

Typically point systems like the one above are commonly used in racing (Formula 1, Nascar, Mario Kart) and in tournament(Tennis, Evo seed point) when the quantitative/statistical variables of a week are not directly comparable w any other weeks. i.e. in racing, lap time are not comparable with previous week (difference in race track, weather, the participants etc). Or, in tournament, difference of quality of participants (east/west coast), the number of participants, the randomness of the tournament bracket etc.
In our case, a round robin closed system where all quantitative variables are fixed and comparable weekly (i.e. everyone play the exact same group of opponents, the same number of opponents/matches every week, in the same environment), we should use the number of wins as the point each week (e.g. 9 wins == 9 points, 4 wins == 4 points). Example of such are NFL, MLB, NCAA conference, NBA, Premier league, or basically all round robin league in the world u get the idea.
If we look at our test run of the round robin last week (11 participants, 3-way tie for 1st), it doesn’t make sense that 1st and 3rd places have 4 points difference due to a 2nd round lost, and 5th to 11th participants got the same measly 1 point. I think we borrow the idea from Orlando ranbat, but they ran tournament bracket not round robin.
As a bonus of using the wins # as a points, theoretically speaking, if someone misses a week due to real life responsibility, or if some newcomer wants to join the ranbat mid-week, made-up games could be played without affecting any of the outcome, given its not excessive n everyone’s agree to it.
