Correct, $2 venue fee goes towards Serenity games to keep doors open!
Casuals start at 12:00 as always, full set ups are always needed (2 360’s with no monitors would also be great)
When i get in at 6:30 we’ll do sign up for the RR and plan to start promptly at 7:15. I’ll finalize the rules later on tonight and post them up. this is basically a trial run for the Ranbat format we’re going to start the first Tuesday in August.

Btw, for the (2) MTG heads here, I’ve been getting some good drafts going using Cockatrice, and uploading a deck from CCGDecks draft generator. If you’re interested I can help you out, but it’s pretty easy to use and install.
Hope to see mah nigs tomorrow, even though I’m probably not even gonna play.
Who the fuck says by **the **Fri?! LOL! And dude stop posting shit like that on the forum. You have each of our phone numbers. Ass!!! I’ll get you. Either tomorrow when I see you or this weekend.
Stop being part of team **NAH **and bring your ass out to shit being done. Maybe then you can bitch at one of us in person (D.Fox and I were at PnT yesterday). Stop hanging on that XBOX Live rep, Bob-scrub-dumb-gamer! =D
And yes, it’s still $2 venue for Serenity, in addition to the $3 for the RR
Oh and stop using my effing name! Damn. Douche!
As far as tomorrow goes, anyone who feels like I can help them with a grind session, lemme know. We can sit and play and play and I can maybe give you some things to work on. Evo is this weekend. Anyone who plans on taking AE seriously should get at me tomorrow in St. Pete and Serenity Games. JiTae, Tyler, Kovacs, etc., I’M TALKING TO YOU!!!
And I’m sure no one will miss you if you left your own PC party for a couple of hours. You’re free in SF, no doubt you’re free in whatever the fuck that is, too!
Did I mention that I’m a douche?
I believe this is a bit of a trial run. Or even an Evo warm up. Even if there is a point system, a la a season, I doubt tomorrow would count toward such. But I bet you’re asking the one who’s running it. Just responding because I was the first to the computer.
Yo everyone, I’ll be hosting casuals again this Sunday at my cave, and I plan to have a BBQ as well as having the pool open if anyone wants to swim. As far as the BBQ, I’ll have a mix-up of burgers and dogs, but I may have to charge a couple $$ for a plate unless you bring something to grill (so, bring some brats or kebobs or something to throw on the grill). The same goes for alcohol. I’ll be having the Evo stream running all day, and will probably throw some battles on the screen (if any of the Tampa heads are on the stream, I’m taking it over for the match). I’ll probably get things going around 2-3, but I’ll post on Friday for more details if needed. Give me a call or text me at 540-809-9298 for the address.
Good luck and safe travels to all the Titans attending Evo this year! Kick ass and remind Vegas of the Tampa SWAG!
Awesome idea! I think I’ll show up so I can meet some guys from the local community. Like I said on the previous page, I’m new to the area and wouldn’t mind meeting some people to play local games with.
Thanks for the welcome and the information. Some good-matured trash talk on the forums is always cool with me as long as people don’t act like total asses in real life. Going to have to check out Serenity Games, for sure. It’s really cool that there is a local place around here that does organized casuals like that.
Yea I def. Mean for next week when they start. Hoping to bust my ass to get the time to come out next tues and get some games before I go back in my sumo cave
This is a Trial run/Evo warm up 70/20/10 payout at the end of the day… If all goes as planned then the format will pretty much be finalized… Things I’m still trying to figure out are:
-Length of "The Season"
don’t want it to be too short, but don’t want to drag it out too long with the impending UMVC3 super mega deluxe Directors cut release and KOFXIII (way hype and assume no one will care)
-If it will be every Tuesday or if we will alternate between Tuesday’s and Sunday’s… Saturdays are always an option too, but they will require a little more work on my end.
I know everyone can’t make Tuesdays and there are people that can’t make Sundays… alternating might be the best idea, BUT you might have the same people only playing on Tuesday and the same people only playing on Sundays which is kind of counter productive for the community leveling up.
-3S
I really would like to include 3S with the impending release of 3S online and cause I love the old school.
-MK9?
no one has played MK9 at a serenity Casual… so i assume the demand isn’t there…
The current plan is to run a Round Robin Ranbat that take place every 2-3 weeks.
Point are awarded on how you place:
1st place - 7
2nd place - 5
3rd place - 3
4th place - 2
5th and below - 1
The top 3 and the end of the season will get the 70/20/10 of the total pot that is accumulated over the season.
if you are not there no points will be awarded to you that week.
5th and below, and I do agree on some sort of ranbat system it’ll be fun!
Hopefully UMvC3 will breathe life into the game again, I’ll probably hop over to that when it comes out. I’ll probably play KoF just to troll Orlando cats because it’s that damn fun.
That sounds great. Only suggestion is that if at all possible that the dates for the season be laid out in advance as much as possible to allow people to maximize their scheduling to try and make it.
