Same with me… I have in-laws in town for the whole day. I definitely will be at the next one and i think a couple of our guys from the Sarasota area are going to be there Sunday though

Hey everybody, what’s up. I had heard that PnT shut down and even though I hadn’t been to the weeklies for a while I was still disappointed to hear that. Now it looks like there are two weeklies, one in St. Pete and one in Sarasota. While that’s great it also sort of sucks since both are quite a distance from me, lol.

At any rate, I’ve been wanting to get back out again and get some matches in. Seeing as there are two places that’s going on right now I will more than likely show up at either of them sometime in the future. Just checking in and seeing what was going on and hopefully can head out to a meet-up soon. I can also give rides on the days that I’d be heading out but I’d need gas money.

Ok, cool… later.

I didn’t know there were weeklies in st pete, I thought it was just people randomly hosting stuff whenever. At any rate, ask anyone who’s been there, Livingston’s is worth the drive, the place is amazing.

Oh, I thought Almas was in St.Pete. I hadn’t even heard of it and looked it up and saw that it was in St. Pete. Is it a weekly or just whenever thing?

Livingston’s will be a definite from what I’ve read so far. Sarasota is such a drive, though. I guess that it would make it worth it even more so considering I wouldn’t be able to go every week.

Alma is just a tourney thing on occasion afaik, not a weekly deal, maybe more like once a month or so

Delly sets it up for us once a month every month but not a specific day. He always lets everyone know ahead of time. Wish I could make it out there this week so I can whip some ass in xvssf minus Allen lol.

I had a few long talks with various FGC members and I really think this needs to be said.

People need to step their shit up and contribute overall to the wellbeing of the scene.
It’s obvious that a good amount of us want to get better, be dominant, go to majors and get hype.
The first step to this is for everyone to learn their shit, expand their game knowledge and TALK to eachother.
Talk about OS’s, tricks, gimmicks, character specifics, etc. Adjusting your playstyle to be 100% effective and non scrubby (stop pressing buttons, learn to block, maximize punishes, learn frametraps etc), it causes you to get rid of bad habits and to help your opponent get out of bad habits as well. It’s cool and all to go to alma and crack jokes and hype up games, but if no one is working to make the community better as a whole(this doesn’t mean just bring games and consoles, but thank you those who do), what’s the point of going to alma anyway? Ask for help, get in sessions, play games you may not like for the overall well being of the community.

I’m going to repurchase MvC3 and play it more just because I know there’s a good amount of people in Tampa that want to play it and get good. I’ll pick up MK9 when I can too. We need a head count of the amount of people that are willing to be devoted to their specific FG scene, especially newer games like MK9.

There’s a reason why no one thinks of FL anymore when they think of Flash. Yeah we have Jo Gray and CJ, but if the community got better as a whole, everyone would benefit.

No one in particular was targeted in this post.

It is now time for the energy shift of the 7th root race to manifest on the 3D physical plane and uplift us back to 5D aka let’s get godlike.

Don’t need to do that brah. You can just go back to pressuring with j.6C and 5C/Vines if you can’t afford the oki. Your combos will probably look like ~5C 236E 5B jc JA JB JC jc JB JE then Seed super for oki or Chain wings for damage.
