Good News Gentlemen. Blast city is yet another step closer to completion. Scooped a cheap 360 of CL, (Literally going to cost me 5$ after I sell the extra junk on eBay) But it’s a launch 360 so count down to RROD…
I have to say Marvel 3 Looks AMAZING on this thing, even though the colors are a bit off until my adjustment cable gets here… As soon as the amp get’s here (hopefully this week) you will be able to play on it with your own sticks until Chris and I can finish the Control Panel Wiring… Getting Closer!!!
Tekken x SF won’t be really seriously worked on until after the Tag 2 port I think… pretty sure that’s what Harada has said so far. As far as SFxT, my guess is Capcom will NOT put a demo out for that game. It seems as though the only fighting game demos the put out are PSN/XBLA titles like the HDRs of ST and Marvel 2.
@Jay, yeah some of those guys can talk REALLY fast cause there’s so much to talk about… worker count, army composition, macro ability, micro ability in battle, keeping up with expansions, keeping the observer camera on the action… all on the fly! Street Fighter you at least have life bars so you can tell when someone’s close to losing; SC2 one little mistake basically anywhere can fuck you over real bad.
There have been a couple threads on eSports in the /r/starcraft subreddit on Reddit.com and a few individuals have been bringing up the fighting game scene, etc. It seems that a lot of these Starcraft fans (which many of them claim to not take SC2 seriously when playing/don’t play SC2 at all), when watching games like Street Fighter, they can tell who’s winning and who’s losing but they want more insight on why combos work/why setups work/who’s doing what and why. Someone told me that before playing SF4 and learning link timings, tick throws, focus baits, etc. that watching SF4 was just watching two random dudes do random moves until someone dies.
I don’t think fighting games are that hard to get into, I mean hell Evo 2011 stream got 2mil uniques… that’s pretty fucking incredible. Not saying that for the Tally stream we need to go super UltraDavid/James Chen (read: over explaining everything) as I’m sure you guys want to put this together for other FG fans. But it was interesting to note in the discussion I was having on reddit. I always thought Fighting Games were pretty cut and dry as to what’s going on but I guess that’s just the FG player in me talking rofl.
