I’ve been rewatching Gekiranger with a friend who hasn’t seen it yet, and I think it still holds up as my favorite Sentai series that I’ve seen thus far. It gets a lot of flak, but everything just flows so smoothly. That and it has the first ever Purple Ranger…who is also a Thai fighter!? Effing sweet!
Gekiviolet remains in the Top 3 most badass rangers along with DragonRanger. I have yet to decide who the third one is but Abbare Killer is pretty hardcore as well.
geki is my favorite sentai for the story alone.

Newest episode of Gokaiger was Pimp. It was a Jetman tribute and they were fighting a Boba Fett guy. Dead Serious.

Watched Ep. 24, I love how they got the creepiest nightmare creature they got to be their spokesalien on Earth to convince humans to embrace the Empire.
Shit was crazy funny, also surprised to see Jealouseto/Zealouseto again.
Overall an awesome hilarious episode.
Gokaiger may be my first Sentai series, but it’s shaping up to be my FAVOURITE Sentai series so far. Now if only I can convince my stubborn brother to watch this; he’s watched most of the PR series so far =V
Might just be me, but I don’t like Gokai Silver very much. He is overpowered as fuck and has a cool robot… but the guy, his personality/character annoys the living hell outta me. LOL Hopefully it gets better, I’ve only caught up to episode 19 at this point.
This ep was pretty cool - always a fan of ranger vs ranger combat. Considering that the enemy rangers outnumbered the gokasiers AND were composed of sixth/extra rangers (who traditionally are more powerful than the starting 3 or 5 rangers), they got bitch-slapped pretty badly.
Also, Basco man-handling all six gokaisers was long overdue. now we finally have a credible main villain.
Episode 29 - COSPLAYING PINK RANGER. Yo, I’d smang it.
Also the fact that Basco has three of the ultimate powers as well. Hopefully they explain how he got to that form.
So the next Sentai series is gonna be

Anyone knows somewhere else to get subbed older sentai series? I can’t stand TV nihon’s Extreme-Weeaboo subtitles.
Chojin Sentai Jetman has some serious storyline. I’m 21 episodes in now, spent a big portion of the weekend watching it. The action isn’t especially good, since it is an older series. One of the very noticeable errors that happens constantly is the “explosion stance” after they transform sometimes has them in a different order than they were originally standing in. The subpar special effects while fighting get tiring, but the writing is excellent. Black Condor is fucking amazing and completely steals the show. No wonder they brought him back for an episode in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
