Yeah, the one that always got me was the timing of the first air stall into squid, and then rejumping off it. I did get it though!
Played through the Pokemon Amiibo stageā¦ three times, played Dungeonmanās SHMUP stage because I love SHMUPs, and took a stab at debsā Cheap Cheep II: BOGO 50% Off stage.
nothing frustrates me more than arguing with ppl on gamefaqs about whats missing from this game and going back and forth with ppl that feel like ppl that say anything negative about the game feel entitled or are whining or whatever other bullshit they come up with.
its extremely frustrating to have so many ideas but have to deal with so many limitations.
its extremely frustrating to play through smb, smb3, smw, nsmb and not be able to do so much of what i just played through.
its extremely frustrating that nintendo wonāt just come out and say yes we are working on an update with the missing content that ppl have been asking for since day one or no we are done with additional content other than costumes and event courses
its extremely frustrating to play through the same couple of backgrounds in each game over and over and over. with the same music over and over and over.
iām a pretty creative person but my head keeps hitting the ceiling. partially because i keep thinking about what i want to do vs what i can do in smm.
/end rant
but wait, thereās more
we canāt shake a pipe to get a different colored pipe?
we canāt shake a hammer bros to get boomerang of fire bros?
check points werenāt day one features?
really???
its too hard and too time consuming and too costly to implement basic shit nintendo created in the mid 80s-early 90s though according to gamefaqs.
but everyone wants a new mario galaxy though right? lol and smh.
My first question would beā¦why are you arguing with Gamefaqs?
true.
No Water Tiles, No Problem (Concept)
iāll probably move some pipes or semi solid platforms around or something so its not as cramped, but yeahā¦running out of ideas, really. i really wish theyād give us more music and background options.
Iād kill for some Athletic themes. SMB3 and SMW have some of the greatest pieces of Athletic jams.
So my Jump Man 2 course, one of the earlier levels I made got a comment from a Japanese player who took a photo of himself skipping the level. I LOLed when I saw that. Iām like āReally? Yeah, it can be challenging level but it isnāt BS hard like so many other levels mucking up the SMM servers.ā
I want to make another water level. Havenāt made one since my Deep Blue course. I know most people hate water levels, which is a general rule for video games, but I really feel I should take another stab at the water based options SMM gives you. Speaking of water, why the EFF is the Frog Suit a costume in SMB instead of a power-up in SMB3?! Anything that makes the crappy swimming controls vanish is a gift from the heavens.
Put a few nights work into making this one.
Skull Raft Madness
ADE2-0000-01DD-D914
I touched a bit with the Skull Raft tool in a few of my courses but never to the point of making it the focal point of a course. Inspired by the mine cart levels of the Donkey Kong Country games, I was originally going to title this one Mine Cart Madness. This is the first course Iāve made that has two checkpoints. The Cape Feather is available but its mainly to help players that might struggle with the jumps of this course. Iām not going for an Expert rating with this one but when I see many of my courses that arenāt Star Specials getting hit with the Expert or Super Expert label, I know something is up (Players need to get gud).
@chadouken! Congrats, you are the only player thus far to clear ā S-3: BOOYAH. I set out to make a difficult ice stage and it looks like I succeeded.
ā S-2: CLUTCH has three clears and is the first course I made to get the Super Expert rating. I didnāt intend for Jailbreak to be a hard course but then again, breaking out of prison shouldnāt be easy.
ā¦
Iām going to finish my next level this weekend, I promise! Got sidetracked with SFV the last couple weeks, lol. Iāll play through yāallās new courses too.
Been going through courses like a mad man. Still only have the one level from me. One of the kids I baby sat made a level and filled it with Yoshis, uploaded it when I told them not to, and it has two stars. Mine got no love but I can see the faults.
Finally beat @King9999 Short Hops level. I feel like dumb-dumb for not getting it sooner. His new level can eat a bag of dicks though. Iāve only got past the second part once.
Is there anyway to look at the past levels youāve played? I forgot to star one and I would like to do that. It wasnāt from anyone here.
@debs I could see some frustration with it, but for myself Iām pretty satisfied with whatās there. Nintendo can and hopefully will add more, but whatās there and how itās implemented outweigh the stuff that isnāt there.
I like your levels for the most part (a few nit picks here and there ), and love how set up the boss battles. Really good stuff.
Making a level to teach the younger aspiring players the basics of the New series move sets right now. Maybe Iāll upload it online?
@Femto - See your own Mii icon in one of the corners in the menus? Tap on that, and you can see your uploaded levels, your starred levels, and your played levels.
Hereās my latest:
Icy Skies

Really want to get in the habit of getting these vids out once a week. Letās try it again.
Only got through two courses this time, both from @āchadouken!ā. Timestamps are in the video description as per usual.
Fish Kebab (formally No Water Tiles, No Problem and Chirasizushi)

already working on a smb grass level. after that iām going to try a tree level with smb.
Dive and pull up at the very last second to get enough speed to make the winged boo not catch you. Do little dives after floats to go even faster.
Iām making a sequel involving the bouncer bumper things. And capes. How they interact with float isā¦ interesting.
all made on a friends wii u go onā¦
take a pick dare ya
