(Good to know Dungeonman. Not sure why there was a space and an extra period in that sentence. Itās been fixed now.)
Your changed codes have also been added to the front page Infernoman. Iāll get this update out of the way by tonight or at least Iād like to think that I will, but for now I need to deal with this Covered California bullshit before it ends today. Sigh.
Whatās everyoneās favorite smb, sm3 and nsmb or Nsmbu level and why? I just want a better understanding of what ppl want to see out of a level. Ned some ideas.
I just edited and reuploaded my Nice and Easy level. The new code is:
51E5-0000-01B5-D899
This level is a doozy. I got rid of the bouncy tires and put regular platforms in instead, and switched up the P switch puzzle in that area a little. Itās still pretty tricky and Iāll be impressed if you guys can beat it.
I think I want to work on a pipe maze using SMB3 template next.
I mean, personally I prefer smb3 and smw. Partial for mechanical reasons, mostly for aesthetic reasons.
NSMB actually is my least favorite (I donāt hate it at all mind you, just my āleast favoriteā ), partially because it feels like Mario slides all over the place way too easily, and jumping doesnāt feel as ātightā, if that makes sense?
Wall jumps are cool, though.
SMB, despite being pretty limited, is still surprisingly fun to me.
Aesthetically, SMB3 all the way, but that is pure bias lol. SMB3 is still my favorite Mario game to this day, right next to SMW, Galaxy, and then 3D World.
(Iām almost certain that debs meant an individual level rather than a game style, though I imagine that thereās doubtless some relation depending on the stage in question.
Provided Iām correct, then itās a question Iād have to think on, though my opinion hardly matters anyway given I donāt have game unfortunately.)
Anyway, I figure that I would follow my own advice for once and not try to do everything at once as planned, all of the changes that are happening on the front page tonight have been implemented, especially since I have to deal with some account blockage BS with regards to ACA. Time to have to waste precious phone minutes due to lack of a land-line. Yayā¦
Hereās whatās been changed on the front page:
Split the SRK stages and Non-SRK stages from the System Miscellany and Videos.
Added chadouken!'s new stage code for āNice and Easyā.
Added chadouken!'s bookmark profile for his stages in general.
Added the courses that LordWilliam1234 played in his videos for the non-challenge videos; this was helped by LordWilliam1234 already had given the information for all times save for the j.o.o.c video, so I thank him for that.
Added j.o.o.c.'s courses to the Non-SRK stages.
Hereās what I need to do still:
Add everyoneās bookmark profiles if they have one.
Add the courses that roknin played in his videos for the non-challenge videos.
Add debsās still-existent videos for the stages I havenāt done so with yet.
Some other stuff Iām probably forgetting right now as I glare at Covered Californiaās website.
Feel free to add or suggest something, especially since Iām choosing to do this on my own rather than force T20thoughts to help me with it.
yeah i meant level. iām just trying to get a better understanding of what everybody enjoys so iām going to play through the levels from smb, smb3 and nsmb/nsmbu that ppl suggest.
Chadokenā¦ I donāt know why your level caused me so much strife, but I posted my entire time with it, with very few edits lol. It took me 40 minutes.
Itād be kinda dope to have the whole list published as a āsetā and call it āSuper Mario Shoryukenā or something catchy. Or slim it down to like 6-75 of the best and do that (since 177 is probably hellaā bloated).
Lol, I designed it that way. Itās supposed to be confusing, but hopefully in a fun way. I wanted to make it so that itās rewarding when you finally beat it. Itās definitely not a course for everyone- itās not kaizo by any means, but itās intentionally confusing. I paid a LOT of attention to detail in making several sections look exactly alike. Thanks for checking it out, Iāll watch your video after work. Hopefully you donāt hate me!
Edit: I went ahead and watched the video at work, but with low volume (will watch again tonight). I noticed you got stuck between the pipes with no way out at one point, because the P switch timer ran out and the blue doors went away. I will fix that tonight by making those pipes have a P switch come out, so there will be a way out of that trap.
Ok, I fixed the part in Nice and Easy where you can get stuck in the pipes, so you donāt have to reset it. Thanks for playing it @roknin and demonstrating how that part is a problem, lol.
Man I like/dislike cheep cheep bridge, the thing that is annoying is when you get that weird flippy jump (not sure what causes it) it hella changes your trajectory and then I miss jumps. But making jumps is satisfying lol.
Hereās a new Super Mario World puzzle stage I just uploaded. Itās mostly throwing based puzzles. If you give it a shot, lemme know what you think. Also, leave a code for a level you want me to check out.
