ok after replaying my stages, I refined a bit my castle stages. Added checkpoints to each one for ease of play.

Hey @Infernoman I played all your levels man. Good shit. Hit my up with a friend request- I donā€™t think I have you yet: NNID Chadouken

Will add you later. Thanks for playing and the stars!

(Good to know Dungeonman. Not sure why there was a space and an extra period in that sentence. Itā€™s been fixed now.)

Your changed codes have also been added to the front page Infernoman. Iā€™ll get this update out of the way by tonight or at least Iā€™d like to think that I will, but for now I need to deal with this Covered California bullshit before it ends today. Sigh.

Whatā€™s everyoneā€™s favorite smb, sm3 and nsmb or Nsmbu level and why? I just want a better understanding of what ppl want to see out of a level. Ned some ideas.

I just edited and reuploaded my Nice and Easy level. The new code is:
51E5-0000-01B5-D899

This level is a doozy. I got rid of the bouncy tires and put regular platforms in instead, and switched up the P switch puzzle in that area a little. Itā€™s still pretty tricky and Iā€™ll be impressed if you guys can beat it.

I think I want to work on a pipe maze using SMB3 template next.

Edit: Hereā€™s the bookmark
https://supermariomakerbookmark.nintendo.net/courses/51E5-0000-01B5-D899

I like the Mario world and NSMB style. Easier for me to work with as I have the most experience with it.

Personally I prefer the air.

ā€¦er.

I mean, personally I prefer smb3 and smw. Partial for mechanical reasons, mostly for aesthetic reasons.

NSMB actually is my least favorite (I donā€™t hate it at all mind you, just my ā€œleast favoriteā€), partially because it feels like Mario slides all over the place way too easily, and jumping doesnā€™t feel as ā€œtightā€, if that makes sense?

Wall jumps are cool, though.

SMB, despite being pretty limited, is still surprisingly fun to me.

Aesthetically, SMB3 all the way, but that is pure bias lol. SMB3 is still my favorite Mario game to this day, right next to SMW, Galaxy, and then 3D World.

(Iā€™m almost certain that debs meant an individual level rather than a game style, though I imagine that thereā€™s doubtless some relation depending on the stage in question.

Provided Iā€™m correct, then itā€™s a question Iā€™d have to think on, though my opinion hardly matters anyway given I donā€™t have game unfortunately.)

Anyway, I figure that I would follow my own advice for once and not try to do everything at once as planned, all of the changes that are happening on the front page tonight have been implemented, especially since I have to deal with some account blockage BS with regards to ACA. Time to have to waste precious phone minutes due to lack of a land-line. Yayā€¦

Hereā€™s whatā€™s been changed on the front page:

  1. Split the SRK stages and Non-SRK stages from the System Miscellany and Videos.
  2. Added chadouken!'s new stage code for ā€œNice and Easyā€.
  3. Added chadouken!'s bookmark profile for his stages in general.
  4. Added the courses that LordWilliam1234 played in his videos for the non-challenge videos; this was helped by LordWilliam1234 already had given the information for all times save for the j.o.o.c video, so I thank him for that.
  5. Added j.o.o.c.'s courses to the Non-SRK stages.

Hereā€™s what I need to do still:

  1. Add everyoneā€™s bookmark profiles if they have one.
  2. Add the courses that roknin played in his videos for the non-challenge videos.
  3. Add debsā€™s still-existent videos for the stages I havenā€™t done so with yet.
  4. Some other stuff Iā€™m probably forgetting right now as I glare at Covered Californiaā€™s website.

Feel free to add or suggest something, especially since Iā€™m choosing to do this on my own rather than force T20thoughts to help me with it.

Damn, I just counted 177 posted SRK levels (give or take) on the first page. Thatā€™s a couple full blown Mario games worth of content!!

yeah i meant level. iā€™m just trying to get a better understanding of what everybody enjoys so iā€™m going to play through the levels from smb, smb3 and nsmb/nsmbu that ppl suggest.

Chadokenā€¦ I donā€™t know why your level caused me so much strife, but I posted my entire time with it, with very few edits lol. It took me 40 minutes.

I think Iā€™m slow on the uptake. >_>

Ahh, my mistake!

Yā€™all put in tons of work!

Itā€™d be kinda dope to have the whole list published as a ā€œsetā€ and call it ā€œSuper Mario Shoryukenā€ or something catchy. Or slim it down to like 6-75 of the best and do that (since 177 is probably hellaā€™ bloated).

Lol, I designed it that way. Itā€™s supposed to be confusing, but hopefully in a fun way. I wanted to make it so that itā€™s rewarding when you finally beat it. Itā€™s definitely not a course for everyone- itā€™s not kaizo by any means, but itā€™s intentionally confusing. I paid a LOT of attention to detail in making several sections look exactly alike. Thanks for checking it out, Iā€™ll watch your video after work. Hopefully you donā€™t hate me!

Edit: I went ahead and watched the video at work, but with low volume (will watch again tonight). I noticed you got stuck between the pipes with no way out at one point, because the P switch timer ran out and the blue doors went away. I will fix that tonight by making those pipes have a P switch come out, so there will be a way out of that trap.

Man I think I could legit get records on some of these im missing but Im too lazy.

First one to beat Trap Music I saw. That level is not Thaaaaaaat bad once you know what to do.

Ggs to Debs and Chadokenā€™s levels I played last night. Good times.

Ok, I fixed the part in Nice and Easy where you can get stuck in the pipes, so you donā€™t have to reset it. Thanks for playing it @roknin and demonstrating how that part is a problem, lol.

Final code is:
BCCB-0000-01B8-AB92

Hereā€™s the updated bookmark:

Turnaround Cave is here:

Perhaps my simplest stage yet but still itā€™s not one can cruise through unless they explore carefully.

Man I like/dislike cheep cheep bridge, the thing that is annoying is when you get that weird flippy jump (not sure what causes it) it hella changes your trajectory and then I miss jumps. But making jumps is satisfying lol.

Hint: The red arrows indicate when you should air stall.

Also, you get the flip jumps when execute three consecutive jumps, timed perfectly

Hereā€™s a new Super Mario World puzzle stage I just uploaded. Itā€™s mostly throwing based puzzles. If you give it a shot, lemme know what you think. Also, leave a code for a level you want me to check out.
