Made a new stage called Tight Squeeze: B1A8-0000-001E-0162
Just spent a few hours on this fucker:
4276-0000-0021-2D03
I call it World 1-1 Shenanigansā¦
Can YOU beat it??
I really hope Nintendo lets us disable comments on the stages in the NEAR future. They are all over the place in the Super Meat Boy stage, dear lord, it almost felt like bullet-hell because of them. Fun stage otherwise.
I donāt know how to feel about GREEN HILL ZONE. My body is still processing it. Came across some cool puzzle ones. Digging the pinball/spring stages, too, haha!
T20 Shelly stage was pretty mean, too, haha!
EDIT:
Battery is about to die and I need sleep, but the second set of green tubes is nasty. Canāt get past it but can sail through the beginning.
Gotta admit, it can be overwhelming being in the driverās seat. I mean, after 3 decades of watching Nintendo do it, we get to play god, making our own Mario stages. Iāve been waiting months for this game and now that Iāve got it Iām like āWell, crap, what should I make?ā Iāve got some ideas for stages but I need more time than Iāve currently got to really bring them to life. I bought some graph paper a few weeks ago and I plan to put it to good use for this game.
If you havenāt done so, I highly recommend you read the digital manual. Not only goes it give you the feeling of reading a printed manual, but itās funny and well informative. Good freaking stuff, Nintendo.
Also, man, the music for this game is good! Iām not talking about the default level themes used from other Mario games for BGM. The Course Maker jams are hot! Koji Kondo actually wrote the music for this game and heās still got it! I was not expecting that level of jazz when I went into Course Maker for Super Mario Bros.
Being patient is the key there. Once you have Yoshi, you can slowly make your way up by crouching and eating the bullets that would hit you anyway. Remember that Yoshiās crouching hitbox is a regular crouching hitbox in this game.
I actually really liked that bit. The bullets are spaced far enough apart that you can get up like that, but if you try to rush it youāll be small, Yoshi-less Mario again when youāre back up. Bonuses undone, but not progress.
As for those still struggling with the Shelly Shroom Race: The first part is just about doable without it, but try hitting all the koopas in the ascending stairs in one go!
I made a few tweaks to World 1-1 Shenanigans
The new code is
4276-0000-0021-2D03
@T20thoughts can you update the first post- the old code is void now.
Note that itās not possible to do the -1 trick in this game. The collision detection is different.
Yeah, theyāve pretty clearly updated the SMB1 mechanics to give you more control mid-jump, among other things. It is still interesting to see the hitbox differences between the gameā¦ I tried playing the Shroom Race level in NSMBU mode, and the hitboxes seem WAY more forgiving in SMB1 mode.
You can also jump much higher off of an enemy in SMB1 mode in SMM than you could in the original game. I Iike that change, even though Iām a bit of a purist when it comes to Mario, lol.
I was wondering why shaking a Muncher didnāt do anything. Turns out if you shake it three times and you tap the flies that come out, something fun happens. And a chance at an extra costume.
Spoiler
Itās the Gnat Attack minigame from Mario Paint. If you beat it, you get the Builder Mario costume.
Martian, i finally beat your level xD
This oneās called Over/Under
495E-0000-0026-D105
Itās a Super Mario World level.
Heheheā¦
I played Martainās demon level. It took me 20 minutes to beat it. Pretty cool level.
Iām about to hop on and get my fill of Mario Maker before I devote the rest of the night to Metal Gear Solid.
Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the Demon Ruins level. Iām about to try all the ones you guys have been posting lately.
Still canāt beat @chadouken!'s level, 'bout to hit up that Nintendo Hotline assistā¦
Jump Control: 6C03-0000-0028-2E41
Iām gonna make my life easier by following Martain and King in-game.
Damn, King I canāt get past that last fire bar in Jump Control, lol. Iām going to keep trying. I like how your levels focus on raw skill and arenāt about cheap stuff you find on a bunch of levels. Iām so used to mashing run, itās kinda neat slowing it down and being perfectly precise. It shows how intricate Marioās moves really are. Iāll let you know when I beat it!
I managed to beat King first jump stage, now he has another one!!! cant wait to try it out!
I have another stage for you guys, My bro actually created this one I think he called it air ride of Doom or something

Hey man, I found that course. The four ā4sā should be ā0sā in the code though.
