This entire season for the most part makes him sympathetic. He has worked his ass off for a long time and he does take a lot of shit for it. Now to be fair, at times he’s DEFINITELY his own worst enemy, as he’s had multiple opportunities to get on everyone’s good graces, but some of the shit he takes is just too much, this being some of the worst of it. I mean, he now, FINALLY gets the one thing he’s wanted for his entire career only to find out it’s essentially only given to him as a bargaining tool to use him in a dispute between his bosses, both of which he’s not very fond of what with Jessica continuing to find ways to ridicule him and Hardman trying to get his ass framed for his own embezzlement 5 years ago. And now, he has the fate of the entire firm essentially in his hand, and if he goes the wrong way he’s dead. I wouldn’t want to be him normally, but damn I REALLY don’t want to be him now.
And with Donna’s return, it’s time to reignite the Maxx signal. No bra was a huge plus.
And I told you guys, no way were they gonna let Mike go most of this season with greatness. Didn’t think they’d go this hard though…
yeah Mike and Louis were definitely the losers this episode. I wonder how they are going to use Rachael passing her test?? And my next week prediction is that Hardman wins, Jessica’s really been a little catty, bossy bitch and I actually was glad that Louis went at her the way he did and telling her “You made me wait 5 years, then you can wait 24 more hours.”
Oh, Louis…
M. Bison approves of your ascension in rank/status on a Tuesday.
Louis gets the one thing he really wants and is really happy about it too.
But the situation surrounding that puts a bit of a damper on the celebration though.
He just can’t get a break.
lol @ Jessica flipping the switch on Louis.
Donna and Rachel looking quite good in tonight’s episode.
The end to the episode was quite unexpected though.
It just… happened.
Louis needs more love after the fall out but he’s my favorite character to dislike.
Suits - S2 E9 related prediction
Spoiler
Jessica will win but there will be a loss for her too.
Rachel and Mike will move into that apartment next season… after she’s thinks she’s in on all secrets… then Mik will be found out.
Welp fellas, tonight is the night. Season Finale, shit goes down…and another year hiatus. Are you ready?
Season Finale
Spoiler
Ballot box? Have to admit, didn’t expect that.
Burying grief with work, shocker. He really is like Harvey. It’s sad to watch.
…FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU…damn you Louis!
Harvey’s getting desperate already.
And Mike is back on the weed and went hard on that dealer. Rock bottom for everyone within 5 minutes…
Hardman really showing his snake moves, already booting Harvey from his office.
Louis is really proud of himself. He’s gonna get hell for this.
Louis is really that gullible? He knows Harvey shouldn’t be fired.
Okay, remember that sympathy for Louis? Yeah, fuck that shit. He’s way too into himself right now, lording the fact that he can now fire Mike at will and wants to.
And now Mike and Harvey are at odds. Freefall…
With the way things are going, I’m half expecting Mike to crawl back to Trevor.
You smoked up the night before the Funeral? Nice…
Damn the tech down there sucks.
Harvey’s a bit too proud and easy pickings. Louis will have him free at this rate.
Okay, is my brain on the fritz? Who’s this girl again?
And now we see the ultimate downside to an eidetic memory.
:’(
Okay…congrats, now we know your first lay…awkward.
Louis…I swear to god…
Oh great, another girlfriend that isn’t Rachel. They really want to drag that out don’t they?
Okay, take that back big time…damn. Mike can’t even get that ex-girlfriend lay?
And finally Harvey comes around.
Harvey knew from the start…that explains things.
Haha, looks like Harvey knows the dealers well.
Harvey and Mike stoned…greatest thing ever. That should be a show in itself.
Harvey sharing? Man, this is new.
They are not going in stoned…yes they are…this will end well.
Oh shit, THE RITUAL!
Louis…can you be more of a dick this episode?
Damn, and the worst part, he can’t wreck him like he did Tanner.
Hardman…REALLY?! This is some Kristoph Gavin shit.
Harvey gets to beat the shit out of Tanner more? Yay.
Well this is one of the more interesting boxing matches I’ve ever seen…
Well at least Tanner gave that up.
Have to wonder how much willpower it took Rachel to break away from that.
What’s Louis up to now?
Forcing the meeting…nice.
Damn Jessica, you too?
And the last avenue is gone…we’re muffed.
Forgery Mike…oh boy…
Even Louis didn’t vote it up. Damn.
And Louis voted to get rid of him? Nice.
And just like that, the ultimate turnaround.
AND Mike was smart enough to not make a forgery. Finding a win within the last 10 minutes.
Oh Mike…don’t be the affair guy…
Just like that Hardman is gone. Pulling defeat from victory.
Rachel’s at the door isn’t she?
Yep…and here we go again next season.
– So that was a solid finale. I am NOT amused about how Tess was introduced within one episode as the old flame and started this shit all over again like with Jenny. At least we got a couple of episodes with Jenny to like her, but seriously? Meh… But yeah, way to go Louis, all that sympathy you earned the entire season, thrown away within one episode. You’re lucky if Jessica doesn’t throw you out on your ass.
And more good news, Suits coming back in January rather than waiting a year? Hurray, 4 months is a MUCH easier wait.
[details=Spoiler]Yeah that Mike and Rachael shit is dead, he’s crushed that girl waaay too much. We really got to see all the evils of Mike this episode, and I have feeling this bad karma + a scorned Rachael and his “little secret” may be his undoing.
Sleeping with a married woman is never a good idea and I honestly have no sympathy for Mike if any misfortune or hard time comes his way due to the result of his actions.
One quick question tho, at the end when Mike was telling everyone that he signed his own name was Louis around the corner listening??
Overall pretty dope episode, Harvey seemed pretty cool while smoked out. Can’t wait til January but I have a feeling more bad times are coming. Too much recklessness this season and I have a feeeling Jessica and the gang’s luck may run out soon.
Season one barely kept me interested enough to keep watching but season two was excellent. At this point I don’t care if mike and Rachel ever wind up together. Not that I’m complaining but what happened to the chick from the real world? Her whole arc seemed rather pointless no? I’m glad we only have to wait until January for a new season although this ten episodes per season crap is weak. At least give us 12.
Yeah, Mike is pretty much toying with Rachel at this point. I’m giving him a slight pass due to his Grandmother’s death though. She was everything to the man, so him ending up wonky out of it makes some sense and wanting to get laid somehow was inevitable. Rachel should’ve just accepted Mike’s advances earlier, so he DIDN’T do something stupid later like he did. But as of right now, that’s the fourth time this type of thing happened between them. Something’s gotta give, and it’s never in Mike’s favor.
Uh, Louis might’ve been listening, but I don’t think it matters at this point. Like Jessica said, it doesn’t have to hold in court, it just had to convince the Partners that Hardman essentially screwed them. Hardman’s fight was lacking too, so I doubt Louis is gonna take too many measures to bring him back, especially since I think he realizes he tried to throw Harvey under the bus like he did to Louis 5 years back.
The irony though is that the attempt to settle and reclaim his position, and use Mike to get at Harvey was his downfall. If the case goes to court, win or lose, at least Hardman’s still around and still looks good. If he doesn’t use Tanner and this tactic at all, he’s still fine. But due to that, and Harvey and Mike getting high, it all fell apart. I’m surprised Donna didn’t try to beat the crap out of Hardman when she had the chance, due to that fucking forged memo, she got put through absolute hell.[/details]
The events leading up to the turnaround at the end was a highlight of the summer finale.
Mike and Harvey getting stoned together was
The two of them going to the office together was a fun adventure and there was a mention of the ‘ritual’ too. So close to finding out what ‘it’ is, maybe.
Then things get serious after the encounter with Louis.
Louis, WTF are you doing trying to flaunt your ‘power’ in the face of Harvey’s swag?
His, ‘taunt then runaway’ tactic was pretty funny in an earlier part of the episode.
> Louis (to Harvey): I’m not scared of you.
> Harvey starts to walk-down Louis
> Louis does back-dash
Over the course of S2, Louis was kinda interesting to follow amidst the happenings in the firm when Hardman returned.
Went from disliking him (from S1) to somewhat empathizing with him and now back to somewhat disliking him again.
What will you do now, Louis?
The boxing match between Harvey and Tanner was a fun highlight.
Tanner knew what was up at the end though.
Hope to see more of him again.
Damn, Hardman was holding that ‘L’ and had that plan set in motion from years ago?
Jessica stay kicking your ass out of the firm, again.
Well, Mike… there goes your chance with Rachel, yet again.
Don’t you have a peephole on your door so you can see who’s knocking and ask who it is before opening the door?
All in all, S2 was a good watch.
New season/episodes in January, instead of summer, is a nice touch.
At first, yeah, Rachel shouldn’t be mad because she did turn him down and he went and found solace with a childhood friend which she knows he used to go out with. It was honestly a predictable outcome.
HOWEVER, if/once she finds out that she’s married and he’s aware of that fact and screwed her anyway? Yeah, rage mode commence and Mike is fucked.
That’s none of her business anyway she shouldn’t be mad about it. She’s welcome to rejudge his character, but she has no right to be mad about a choice he and that woman made on their own. It’s her marriage to fuck up and Rachel’s not a part of that little situation. I’ll be far more disappointed in her character if shes more pissed off about he marriage issue then the “You ran to another woman so fast?” issue, tho she shouldn’t be mad about either of them, it isn’t her place.
Her character also has a bad tendency to screw over Mike on multiple occasions, often out of a fit of selfishness.
I never said that she would be JUSTIFIED in her rage, just that while she probably would cool off pretty quick under normal circumstances, it’s very possible she’ll think about it as Mike leaving her for a married girl.
Another thing to think about though in general is that all the trust in Hardman and shit went away due to him stealing the company’s money on an extramarital affair, which of course led to Jessica and Harvey trying to kill him at every opportunity once he came back. Considering Harvey’s lack of empathy towards affairs and Jessica’s bad history with those thanks to her husband, is it REALLY such a bright idea to help someone with hers? Coming off so soon with the clutch play to get rid of Hardman, the last thing he needs is to get back on Jessica’s bad side.
