In all likelihood, it’s less that Arika doesn’t want to make a deal as it is Capcom thinking any deal that might be made isn’t beneficial enough for them, much like Karin up until recently. Why would you want to pay someone to use characters that, while cult status, in all honesty probably won’t affect sales of the game at all since very few people actually played EX? Meanwhile, Arika probably think that they can’t just give the designs away for almost nothing and want a similar type of deal as during the EX series. Karin was really popular and it took them a fuckload of time to come to an agreement with a single mangaka. Odds are it’s harder to come to terms with an actual for profit company over a bunch of C-listers.
Also, with the Darkstalkers costumes for Halloween, I started thinking. We all know that there probably won’t be another Darkstalkers or Rival Schools any time soon, so why not add those characters? Worked with Final Fight (though that had the added history of being a sequel early in development). And it’s not like the Street Fighter universe is some sacrosanct fucking canon or anything (and Rival Schools is already canon in the SF universe). Morrigan would probably help more than Skullomania would. Not saying anything about which character is better or anything, just that Morrigan and Batsu are probably more recognizable than Skullomania or Doctrine Dark, if nothing else then because they’ve been in crossover games.
That’s silly and I don’t see a reason it should remain that way. Sounds like an oversight/mistake. Is she the only one who’s hurtbox is like that? Is it any different from the 1P or 2P side (you never know)?
It shouldn’t remain that way, just wanted to get all the facts out in regards to that situation. I haven’t checked every character yet, but it happens on both sides so it’s related to the hurtbox definition rather than a game bug (so an oversight).
People actually wanting Decapre huh? Haha’ Funny, good times, I remember when she was first revealed how anti hype everyone was for Evil Cammy. Ah’ SF4.
My favorite game was 3rd Strike and I play Ibuki and characters with execution. I also like rollback code and bought an Xbox One for one fighting game.
Of course im a hipster.
SFV is the first mainstream fighter other than Marvel 3 that fits my hipster tastes.
He only has 1,050 health. That’s really not that much for someone who has to take damage to get in. Doesn’t Ryu have 100 less health? That’s one hit worth of damage so let’s stop the hyperbole.
If they’re not going to buff his health, they need to buff that V-Trigger.
Oh, we’re back to “I want [insert character here] as DLC next season”?
I want to say “give me Fei”, but considering how much that character changed between ST and SFIV (seriously, ST and SFIV Fei are polar opposites in pretty much every single way), and how different SFV plays from those games, I’m sure he won’t play anything like his previous incarnations.
I was going to complain about how some other character even got her rekkas locked behind a VT-activation, but the simple fact is that safe-ish rekkas don’t fit with the basic philosphy of SFV.
The hurricane missed my area luckily, the day it passed I went on a cruise, fell in love with the open seas and being disconnected I went sailing in the middle of the Atlantic just to watch the sun rise and set with no land in sight.
I pretty much disconnected from the world for about 2 weeks and I feel like a new person for it, anyone who is able I would say try it.
Once my son goes to college my wife and I will prolly do it once a month
