Never. I saw a long time ago the conspiracy to throw Chun Li under the bus while all the other characters skate by.
Then someone busts out Juri, takes Capcom Cup and she is revealed to be the true boss like Keyser Soze, but itās too late for anyone to do anything about it.
I get that but still, I felt that focusing too much on getting in might have cost him more in the long run. He would lose 50%+ HP before managing to getting in.
I get that Ryu loses the fireball war but you still have to throw em to maintain some ground. This isnāt a Nash situation where throwing out fireballs is prohibited.
I do feel that Chun is a bit too good in some matchups but i donāt really think she is worthy of being hammered with nerfs so much. We will see what is going to happen but i hope that she will remain a fun character and at-least solid.
Youāre better off giving Akuma his standard moveset, just give him some limitations. He should have no EX moves. Teleport should cost V-trigger so he canāt constantly use it. Full V-trigger is shin mode. Super is raging demon AND misogi.
So my guess is akuma drops this year. Not apart of season 2.
Here is where capcom runs into a pickle though. One off character releases build hype, not knowing how many or when a character will drop will keep the fans interested, however itāll be hard to sell a season pass without telling people how many characters and who is involved.
I mean I would buy it because my shilling knows no bounds⦠but
Killer Instinct sold Season 2 passes with a 9 character roster and only let you know who two of the characters were at launch. People complained about being forced to buy content that was promised or didnāt know 100 percent of the details of, but it worked out.
Just the rest of the fighting game world will now understand the world of DLC.
Yeah. At first people assumed it would be another 8 character season like the first, then Iron Galaxy threw a wrench in and told people there would be 9 characters. I think most people bought into it just because the teaser outlines they drew of the characters made it obvious that one of the characters would be Cinder (who was basically the Akuma of Season 2). Everyone else was just a toss up of outlined designs that were hard to completely make out and were all generally new to the IP characters that people had to learn to like.
The 9th character was actually released in the middle of the season as the 5th character and was a āstop gapā character or whatever they call it in development where you make a character to appease people until you have enough time to release your higher quality content. He essentially had a mix of Jago and Sabrewulfās normals and just had a shit ton of unique special moves to make him appear different play style wise.
Season 1 was fun too because they hyped people into buying 60 dollar Xbox Live cards that came with āShadow Jagoā. Their description of the character was very vague, but people assumed it might be something good. Turns out it was just a palette swap for Jago and the character only had a different moves set as a boss which was unplayable which pissed a lot of people off. Eventually he was made into his own character far after the end of Season 2, but plays pretty differently from what the original boss version did.
