That’s because Ryu is so fucking strong?
I forgot
Bronze cammys dont know
Tokido is really good and Ryu is the honorable man of no weakness
I mean he is but I bet XSK would have lost to all that shit. Hell maybe even Daigo. I feel like Tokido is on some elit level that we can’t even comprehend.
Yo, Tokido’s interviews be the best.

He can’t throw you while you’re in block stun, so it’s pretty easy to diagnose when you need to tech throws. In 3S the aegis drifting made it hard, the ability to parry and throw the parry attempt was also strong, but it was always possible to figure out when you needed to tech. I personally never felt cheated by a single aegis setup in 3S.
In V, the most frustrating Aegis positioning is actually the reverse of 3S’s most difficult position for me, and that’s putting the Aegis right in-front of me while I’m in the corner. This game has no vulnerability boxes, so you can’t hit any buttons, so the Urien can freely pressure to his delight without fear of having his Aegis wasting away quickly. Every other situation seems easy to deal with. In 3S, the Aegis right behind you while in the corner, that slowly drifted back in always made me second guess on if it was going to hit me and put me in block stun or not, so figuring out if I was going to be able to thrown was tough. Fun stuff.
I don’t disagree that within the context of this game’s power scaling (which is really low), Urien is in a good place right now. I do however, long hopefully that the game as a whole gets a power/utility increase. Strong tools are fun, and successfully dealing with strong tools is satisfying.
I think we’re just going to get more honesty with extra tools to be honest with, but we’ll see.
Interesting. But I still don’t know how it’s working. Tomorrow’s top 16 will be composed of players that won stuff through the year, with the last spot being decided today, and the one to win tomorrow will get a spot at capcup?
EDIT: Read the ehubs article.
It ain’t something to worry about, since it’s a new game, but some people that won stuff early on the game lifespan can be so outclassed.
Something like that. PVL would be able to explain.

AAs are dishonest and will be removed in season 2
When was the last time Blanka had anything good for us?
Top 2 just got you into the NA regional finals. RB plays Wong and tokido plays Du. Or vice versa. This tourney was just to get into the NA finals

Tokido has the best Ryu because he can utilize all his tools and has a few strategies without featuring the hadouken. Unlike Daigo, Tokido can adapt quicker to an opponent’s tendencies and seems to have a better understanding of the game.
In short, Tokido plays the opponent while Daigo plays the matchup.

Can someone elaborate on why people think Urien doesn’t have AA options? Or is it that fact that some characters have hard to AA air normals?
Ryu needs his aa jab and j.lk

People love seeing the stuff Urien does, it’s exciting to watch and adds another layer to the bland offense the vast majority of characters currently have. The possibility of a comeback is exciting.
Ibuki is exciting to watch in that way too, atleast for me.
I would like to see more reset/juggle situations for a lot of characters, 90% of the time it looks like you might be able to do it only to test it out in training and be dissapointed.
