p.s.
you looked a little nervous.
i told you. what makes great tourny players are nerves of steel. go to more tourneys to build up your nerves till theyāre steellike.
Just lost to a mika twice in a row⦠Most braindead able to be played without skill character ever.
Motherucker isnjumping at me all day⦠Canāt AA that jlk for shit⦠It crosses up from ranges that it shouldnāt and looks like it will not.
Like seriously this character is the one that the shittiest players do best with⦠So annoying. And why isnāt NAD 3 fuckking bars⦠Give me a fucking break
Mad salty and I donāt usually get salty at this game.
A lot of you need to understand that getting good is something that takes a while. Not a month, not a year, a long ass while.
I started playing seriously when a friend brought MvC2 for the dreamcast once and we got hooked on it, I started playing on GGPO on 2011, got wrecked for a year playing ST, 3s and VSav a lot, but I got decent fundamentals from those days and learning how to play a couple of games at the same time made it easier to adapt to new games in the long run. Got my 360 with SF4 and MvC3 in 2012, got wrecked for a couple of years online, went to a couple of offline tourneys where the best I did was going 2-2 once, got a ton of points in a hiatus from offline play and when I went to a tournament I felt myself too hard and got wrecked for it, started going to more offline events, leagues, casuals, etc⦠and really started learning how to play the game. By 2015 (5 years for those of you at home) I was finally starting to become a threat to get top 8 and was able to beat anyone on a good day. Right now Iām at a good point offline where I have a couple of demons at my locals (Mexico City), but I beat their demons, so Iām able to win tournaments with a good bracket.
The first time I went to my locals to play casuals was in 2012, I got beat up around 30-0 by MJ Chris, I was finally able to beat him in the last SF4 tournament we had 2-1. 4 years to beat one person, once.
This shit takes a while, be patient and be critical of your own gameplay. Itās the only surefire way to get good.
@Twinblades I think the problem is you think there is some sort of ātrickā or something you arenāt getting.
Youāre working hard instead of smart, while intentionally ignoring the smart things as far as I can tell. Like if doing the same thing over and over isnāt working, why arenāt you trying something else?
Playing on feel is fine if youāre naturally one of the most gifted players in the world, but you arenāt, so like, why not try something else? shit isnāt rocket science.
Like if you want to improve, do the things that would help you improve, instead of just grinding out a billion ranked games using the same flowchart that is a coinflip against mediocre players.
oh and @Windalfr donāt make me actually play this game out of spite.
GGs and thanks man! Been playing him more now over Gief cuz its really nice having confirms lol Also using dolphin dive to steal a round or two is always fun
Yeah I was using Birdie before I started playing Gief but now iv gone back to the fatman. Gief is fun but whew it gets tiring playing him alot. Birdie can do more things in a match and hes alot of fun to play. Hes also a way better character =)
I agree with you and reading your posts I can honestly say I go through that too. Not LTG level of course but it happens. I spend more time trying to grind rank for my e-penis instead of studying which is terrible habit I have.
That being said Iām glad I got into gold. When I first got this game after the betas I was assured I would never make it past bronze. Iāve played this game religiously since launch not because I wanna be the best online warrior but because I love fighting games. The genre was my first video game love. I remember as a kid just staring at SNK cabinets⦠just staring and wanting to play.
Now that SFV is out I feel like Iām finally able to get my game on consistently where I can say āIM OKAY AT DE GAME! NOT DE BEST BUT OHKAY!ā Which being in gold makes all the more satisfying.
I know Iām not at the end of this road. And as time goes on, other life shit will get in the way but as of right now just getting better is my focus. I know Cammys kinda braindead but I feel like I havenāt reached that point where I just want to drop her. Not yet.
I think Iām gonna main Karin after this.
Honestly I want sure if I wanted to do Guile are boring king fu man.
